A real 1960 Impala Convertible preserved!!

Up for sale is this incredible 1960 Impala Convertible. Fresh out of the barn this 1960 Impala is truly a time capsule. This one of a kind car has been stored for the last 32 years in a cool dry Colorado climate. The Body is incredible with no rust in fact you can still see the factory spot welds on the bottom of the rear quarters. This car appears to have never been hit or any major accidents. The frame is beautiful with only a light patina of Colorado red clay dirt on it. Ok so here is the good stuff. This car has been fitted with a period correct 348 tri-power and the correct intake and carbs this power plant paired to the factory 3 speed manual on the tree makes it a restoration dream come true. Drivetrain is original (trans and rear end). Motor has been rebuilt but never started (previous owner ran out steam) so car has been sitting for last few years waiting to get fired up. All the original pieces are there including the original generator ready to put back on. We are still looking for the original air cleaner but have a lead on a very nice GM original which will go with the car. VEHCILE BRAKEDOWN BY AREA:BODY- Extremely nice with all it's original panels and no rust in the trunk. There is only 1 - 4' x 5' patch on drivers rear floor that I could find. Exterior is the rare Aqua/ torqiose with matching interior and white top it's nice to see a factory color other then white/red. All door jambs and trunk still have the original paint on them. Exterior was painted in base/clear and looks great in the pics but has chips on doors and the clear has peeled on the bottom of drivers quarter this is a super easy fix. All the stainless I would rate good to great and bumpers are nice for a driver quality car.INTERIOR- It is original and very nice for 54 year old car. The dash still retains its original finish and has a nice correct shine to it. All the gauges and lens are there and completely intact ( The Dash is truly one-of-a-kind!! DON'T DO A THING TO IT) The Seats still have a some support to them giving testament to this cars pampered life. Convertible top has been replaced and is in great shape with the correct zip out- back window. Top goes up and down smoothly. The tops frame is extremely nice is appears to have never been sat on or bent up in anyway. DRIVETRAIN- As stated above 348 TRI POWER 3 speed on the columns and the original trans and rear end. Motor has been rebuilt but never fired. Transmission linkage will need to be hooked up as well as heater hoses wiring etc but it's all there. The only part we couldn't find but are still looking for is the trip power air cleaner and linkage but I will include and have available to buy a GM original trip power air cleaner if reserve is met on this car.This Car comes with a bunch of extra trim including headlight bezels etc. The rear quarter side trim is not original and will a need reproduction to be 100% correct. (Again I will buy and include if reserve is met) This Impala does need a little more love It will need to be cleaned have all fluids checked tuning of carburetors air cleaner installation wiring to the motor etc. to fire up this blast from the past. Bid with confidence that this car does not need all the floors and trunk replaced like most of the cars that are left out there to restore!! This will save you a ton of money on the restoration. The alternative is that you can get it running and enjoy it as is.
