1972 Chevrolet Other Pickups Camper Special

This is a running and driving project. I did some work to this and am unable to finish as I have other things on my plate at the moment. I bought the truck as a running and driving complete truck that had rust in the inner fenders, fenders, doors, rocker panels and cab corners. The bed and tailgate were solid. The wood in the bed had rotted.
I stripped the truck down and installed new fenders, rockers, cab corners, full doors (not skins or patch panels) and repaired the rust in the inner fenders. I pulled all of the wood and strips out of the bed.
The good:Lots of new metal. All good stuff, over $2,000 worth of new metal on the truck.Newer crate engine that runs very well.Transmission shifts well.Brakes and steering work as they should.Newer aluminum radiator installed.Truck is very well optioned wtih factory A/C, power steering, power brakes and tilt! All of the glass is complete and in great shape. The interior is in very good shape and believed to be original. The truck has dual saddle gas tanks and the original fuel filler spot has been filled. The fuel tank is no longer in the truck (originally behind the seat).Clean and clear Florida Title. All trim that came off the truck goes with the truck. All trim is complete! No pieces missing. You can buy every single part for this truck from LMC or NPD. Nothing that can't be replaced.
The Bad:It is unfinished. That's really it.It needs someone to finish the body work, paint it, put the trim back on and drive and enjoy it. IT IS A COMPLETE TRUCK! Everything I took off comes with it!These trucks are climbing in value and a friend of mine just sold his C10 with the same options for $54,000!!! I am not saying this will be a $54,000 truck when finished, but there is room to make a solid investment here. A lot of the expense has been done by replacing all major rusty parts.
This would make a great father - son project. You could finish it in a week if you really put your mind to it and know what you're doing, or take your time. It comes with the old doors which have the handles, locks, windows, regulators, etc. in them. It all just needs to be swapped over to the new doors. That is why they are cracked open in the pictures, no latches in the doors at the moment. It also comes with the original door panels and armrests.
If you need to know anything else or see anything else don't hesitate to ask. I am starting the price low and this is a no reserve auction. If someone bids, they will win. You can pick it up with cash or pay through PayPal. I work in the car industry and have connections with shippers if you need it shipped. I do not mind giving you their information and they bring it door to door. It usually costs about $1 per mile so you can calculate from 33598.
