1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210
This 1956 Chevrolet 210 is a true all-American classic that has been upgraded for flair and offered at a terrific price. Of course, V8 power and four-on-the-floor are what really has you hooked.
The Tri-Five Chevys are iconic, and the middle child '56s are arguably the best of the breed. It has a very sporty look with the wide and sleek front grille, the 210's sweeping side trim, and those artful taillights that remind us all that this was the jet age. Not only is the white paint vivid on this one, but that also means you really notice all the bright work. Someone invested nicely in making sure those chrome king bumpers shine like mirrors. Plus, there are some great subtle upgrades like the half-chrome headlights, window awnings, and Rally wheels with spinner centers. It's a total package that you could easily imaging it running up and down Woodward Ave on a Saturday night back in the day... and this one really did. The original paperwork that comes with the sale shows this American icon was first sold in Detroit!
Inside is more of that great custom flair. The full red interior has an attention-grabbing presence against the exterior white, and the velour seating has a great sense of vintage cool. Plus, when you sit down, you instantly feel the extra comfort over the factory vinyl. There are some cool upgrades like and AM/FM/cassette stereo and power locks with keyless entry, but this one also never loses its vintage appeal. After all, we all love the stylish dual cowl dash that was similar to the Corvette. And speaking of the 'Vette, this classic does feel like a sports car. You get a terrific wood and chrome steering wheel, and mounted on the steering column is a Sun Super Tach. And that last one goes particularly well with the Hurst shifter.
Under the hood is a nice V8 presentation with plenty of bright flair and Chevy bow ties. You can also tell they were serious about building performance into this one. The Tri-Fives were the dawn of the small block era, but this one has definitely been given some upgrades. The 327 cubic-inch motor was larger than anything offered in '56, and now it also has a Holley four-barrel carburetor and a hi-rise performance intake. Plus, the right supporting components like the steel braded hoses, professional grade fasteners, and the aluminum radiator are exactly what you want to see. You get a nice growl out of the glasspack-style dual exhaust, and you're in complete control of this soundtrack thanks to the Muncie four-speed manual transmission. Out on the street, the power steering, front disc brakes, and wide BF Goodrich T/As keep this '56 Chevy feeling confident.
A cool icon with a great history is up for grabs. And at this price, you know it will be moving fast. Call now!
