1971 CAMARO Z-28 - Numbers Matching This 1971 Z28 is an ORIGINAL - Restored "Classic Copper" NUMBERS MATCHING (INCLUDING ENGINE) vehicle. I have owned it since 2002 and it is documented with restoration photos, previous Titles, Service records and Copy of Original Window Sticker. Condition independently judged as evidenced by Winning 2004 Texas Super Chevy Show Competition. Original Low Mileage Z28 had just over 18,000 miles when I bought it - previous title was from State that listed "Actual Mileage" for vehicle as verification. What makes this one even more RARE is the Optional Muncie M22, 4-Speed Transmission. This makes it ONE OF ONLY 1,290 PRODUCED IN 1971. There are numerous "small parts" on vehicle that are not currently being re-produced and the engine runs strong, does not smoke and shows NO evidence of every having been disassembled. Also, all dash items work, including clock (it does run fast), Radio and Tach. Even has original Spare Tire and Jack assembly in trunk. Numerous Production Date Codes were documented during restoration - see pic from restoration book for more details. Have numerous pictures of before and after restoration. Tens of thousands of dollars spent on restoration for both labor and GM original and NOS parts. Car was completely disassembled under body. All rubber replaced, all underbody parts sand/media blasted then powder coated prior to re-assembly. Underside of car hand sanded and re-finished in original Red Oxide coating. Even Front and Rear Window Glass are original - side glass was replaced with new correct glass due to "typical" scratching from the roller mechanism. This Z28 runs and drives excellent. Purchase also includes set of 17" Boyd Coddington Magneto Wheels with Nitto Tires for driving. Rides like a modern day car with these installed. Also comes with the Original date-coded Z28 Steel Spoke 15" Wheels and re-production Firestone "Wide Oval" tires for show purposes. Check my feedback - you will not be disappointed with this Z28.
