Description:

1970 Chevrolet Nova SS

1970 Chevy Nova SS. This is a true SS. 350 V8 with Muncie 4 speed and a 12 bolt rear. Ran when parked about 30 years ago. 3 owner car. 2nd owner owned it for 45 years until a couple weeks ago. Shows 41233 miles but it is 141233. Engine is stuck. Still has double hump heads and a 4 barrel on it. Air cleaner lid is chrome. I have been soaking it in diesel fuel but have not been able to get it loose. Engine is not original. Engine had a short block put in it in 1976 (see receipt). Clutch releases and transmission shifts. This is the original Muncie 4 speed transmission verified by the vin# matching on the case of the transmission (330761). 12 bolt rear in the car is original. Car rolls free, no brakes. This car is very complete. Missing one piece of chrome on the passenger side quarter window. Needs outside lower quarters, front fenders, and a rear deck lid to fix the rust. The floors and trunk of this car are great. I'm not sure why. They shouldn't be but they are. The crossmembers on the floor still have paint on some of them. See photos. The interior is all in the car but will need replaced. No mice in this car. Not sure why again. They ate the plug wires but have not been in the interior at all. It has a Chevrolet 8 track player in it. Also in the documents is the check for $995 to purchase the car in 1973. Also a receipt for the hack job that painted it and covered the rust in 1984. I also copied the old title from 1973 when I titled it last week. Clear and current title in my name. Please contact me with any questions. Car can be viewed anytime. Local pickup only. No warranty. No trade. Will not end this auction early. It has a reserve but will sell. Please pay for the car within 7 days of auction end. No Paypal.
I bought this car from a very good friend of mine who would have loved to restore the car but can not fund the project or can not do it himself. This car was stolen once back in the day and the police said "you'll never see it again". It was found 3 days later unharmed. Whoever buys this car please restore it correctly and we would like to stay in touch to see the finished car.
