1988 Chevrolet P20 Van

This listing is for a 1988 Chevrolet P20 Step Van with only 25,557 miles on the naturally aspirated 6.2 Liter Diesel motor. The truck starts right up on the two brand new batteries in it, and idles very well. The glow plug circuitworks properly, but it does smoke at start for a minute or two due to old fuel, a dirty injector, or it may need an injector. The van runs, drives, and shifts well. It has 4 newer Michelin tires in great shape (see pictures) with no dry rot, and also stops well.All of the switches and electrical components in the van work as they should. The floor is in good shape, and the roof does not leak. There is cosmetic wear and imperfections throughout, but overall it is a solid truck. There are pictures of the two bottom seams of the body in the listing which are the two worst spots on the body. Also please note, the pictures were taken in the shade, the paint is faded, but the van does have a nice patina to it. This van was primarily used as storage, but we have driven it 60 miles or so since we have had it with no problems. The vehicle will need to be inspected and evaluated prior to being used regularly.

The van was originally sold by the governmentto a dealer in Massachusettsin 2000. From 2000 until we purchased the vehicle from an auction in September of 2016 we believe the van was simply used has a storage container and was then donated to charity and run through a local licensedauto auction where we purchased it. This vehicle is sold with the bill of sale from the auction to us, and with a new bill of sale from us to you only. There is no title and no previous registration. Please check with your state DMV in order to ensure this paperwork will be sufficient for your intended use (as the truck is over 25 years old there are lighter requirements in many states because of its age).No letters of correction or title will be provided.
