Beautiful Unrestored Original 1957 Chevrolet 4 Door Hardtop (possibly the best!)
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 4 Door Hardtop
1957ChevroletBelair
I will be listing a few cars here in the next week or two for my family. We are reducing are number of cars, so please see my other listings as well. I am not a dealer.
This is a very rare find and I hope to see it go to the right collector. This '57 Belair was built in Kansas City, MO and was purchased new in Raytown, MO June 26th 1957. It was a late year production which came with the cowl tag on the passenger side of the distributor and the Argent Silver wheels. The original owner and family owned the car for almost 20 years and only drove the car to church and on fair weather days. It was purchased by a car collector in 1976 and has been CAR SHOW ONLY driven since that time! It has been lovingly preserved as an original unrestored car by the next 3 owners. We have a complete history on the car, the current mileage is documented as original, and we have the original title and paperwork. The car had 44k miles back in 2002 ... I wish eBay would allow more than 24 photos! There is so much to show on this car if you like original survivors. EVERYWHERE you look is nice. There is NO RUST ANYWHERE on this car. All floor braces are perfect and intact. No rust or rot under the car anywhere. No patches, no bondo, no filler, no repair work to be found.. Truly not your average '57 Chevrolet 4 Door Sport Sedan!

The 283 V8 runs very well and makes very good power. Fully rebuilt in 2012 at 58,800 miles (with receipts). The Powerglide transmission shifts great and was also rebuilt at 66,016 miles in January of 2017. Both the engine and transmission were operating well at the time of rebuild, but had to be pulled to repair leaks and were proactively rebuilt to ensure many more years of service. The car steers and stops very easy. The power brake system as also been completely overhauled (including master cylinder and booster). The charging system works great and it also has a new radiator. All gauges are working accurately. The original AM radio is working. The clock now has more modern quartz movement. The directional signals work and cancel on their own, the horn works, and even the back-up lights work. Overall, the car runs and drives excellent! Needs nothing at all. This is NOT a barn find car. This is an original survivor that has been mechanically serviced and restored as needed to DRIVE. You can drive this one anywhere with confidence.
Exterior paint is better than you would expect for 61 years old, but it is thin on the cowl and the fenders. Overall, there are good places and worn places, but PLEASE don't ever repaint this car! That's what makes it what it is..I feel it should be preserved. The chrome and trim is VERY sharp and is all original. Interior is also factory original with plastic covers protecting the seats. The originality and the condition of this car will take your breath away when you inspect it. We don't have many national AACA shows in Florida, but this car would be certified HPOF easily or could compete in National Chevy events in the unrestored class. Again, this car LIKES TO BE DRIVEN and drives very well! The next owner should be someone who respects the car for the survivor it is, but will also take it out for a drive.
Please see the photos and ask what questions you have.
I reserve the right to end the listing early at any time for the right offer. The car could be for sale locally as well.
What could this car be valued at? If you look up NADA, you find that a car like this in excellent condition holds a value of $42,020.00 with the Power Pack option. That price does not take into the consideration the mileage, history, unrestored nature of the car, and some of the other options (including the power brakes). These cars are climbing in value very quickly. You might want to grab this one before someone else beats you to it.
I welcome personal inspections and appraisers. Shown by appointment.
