Up for auction today is my 1954 5-window Chevy Truck. A true barn find I ran across a couple of years ago. A great truck to drive with the original feel - just 7" lower to the ground. I call it a "rat" as no real restoration has been done. Just the original great look and feel. Clear title and ready for a new home.
Drive train and chassis:

• 1962 325ci inline-6 cylinder engine with original carborator
• New starter and coil
• New distributor, plugs and engine wiring
• New alternator
• New water pump
• Engine upgraded to 12 volt electrical
• 1954 3-speed truck transmission with granny gear
• Dropped the truck 7" with new drop axil single leaf springs and shocks, front and rear
• 4-wheel drum brakes with original master cylinder. Original pray before you stop brakes.
• Replaced brake lines where needed.
• Basic wiring redone.
• Recent radiator with no heating issues
• Recent fuel cell with gauge control
• No rust
• Shop and parts paperwork

Wheels and tires:

• New 6-lug, 20" Detroit Steel MobWheels unfinished with clear coat only
• Correct wheel/tire/fender positioning for good turning radius
• New baby moons
• New Falcon low profile tires

Body and Interior:

• All Henry Ford steel from 1954
• New 1953 grill
• No rust body from living in Colorado dry climate for 65 years
• Very nice cab, surface rust on roof
• Very nice hood,front fenders and bed.
• Pretty rough rear fenders and running boards with some through rust.
• Doors open and shut properly. Original door latches work
• Windows roll down. Missing window felt trim
• Driver door missing interior lower access panel
• All original interior with recent seat upholstery
• No rust floor deck with new rubber flooring
• Original steering wheel and steering assembly in good working order and shape
• All glass is perfect
• Original Gauges work
• No bed wood or trim rails
• No wiper controls
• Radio delete plate
• Primer finish

Electrical:

• Changed from 6 to 12 volt system
• New battery
• Recent LED head lights
• New 12 volt starter, coil and engine wiring
• New engine temp monitor
• New 12 volt lighting
• New front clear parking lights (not wired yet)
• Electrical is good

Hey guys, I've gotten a couple of messages that I was off on the year. To confirm: This truck has a clear 1954 title. This truck is a 1954 with a "front split window." As many of you know, the traditional '54 had a curved front window. Crazy I know. But I have found over time that this gal is quite rare with this front window. I questioned it years ago when I purchased it. You've got to admit, the '53 grill fits right in with the window configuration for an earlier truck.
