I JUST purchased this beautiful 78 Malibu from it's owner of 35 years.
The car is honest and straight as the day is long. Has great bones and shows only light signs of wear around the car. No dents or even dings to speak of but the paint does have some marks (as any 35 year old car will!)
The 305 is healthy and strong. The engine was rebuilt at 100k a dealership up in Chester NY, and a slightly steeper cam was installed to give some more high end power.
The transmission was rebuilt, and all wearable hardware was replaced along with the linkages and bushings. It shifts smooth and quietly.
I had a 1980 in high school and fell for the car when I found it on eBay. I ran out and bought it but just recently had a friend come to me with a vintage VW I have been eyeing since I saw it first in 2002.
The car comes with a TON of spare parts. Everything from body panels, to trim, and mechanical parts.
I am negotiable and ultimately want to see her find a good home that will care for her.
