(8) I will not give out my reserve price and there is no buy it now price. This is a very nicely done body on restored old 59 Chevy. I did not build the car, but I will list below what I do know about the car.
The body is solid and straight. It has had the rockers, outer and inner, replaced with new metal ones. The rear floor pans have been properly replaced. Original trunk pan is solid. The spare tire well bottom looks like it has had some work done to it. Body mounts look good. All in all, it seems to be a very solid car and the areas that have been repaired appears to have been done properly with the metal welded in. The paint is a 2 stage system and is very nice and shinny, but not what I would call exceptional. There are some minor flaws here and there. It is 1959 Gothic Gold PPG paint. All new chrome. Stainless is super nice. All new tinted glass but the rear window is original. All new weather stripping. It has been lowered a little. Sits just right. New gas tank. All new factory wiring harness. The underside still has some of that very thick factory under coating in many areas.
The interior is all new and super nice. All gauges work, but the vintage tach does not. I have not messed with it. Radio and cigarette delete. After market A/C unit that blows super cold. Factory heat works. Horn works. Wipers work. All lights work.
The suspension is all rebuilt. New shocks. New tires, New brakes, wheel cylinders, hoses, etc. The emergency brake does work. New exhaust. New springs. New alignment. New clutch and pressure plate. Drives like new.
The engine is a totally rebuilt factory 1959 "CS" code 283 cu in fuel injected engine that has been converted to a factory power pack 4 WCFB barrel carb. Still has the solid lifter cam. Plenty of power and sounds great. Trans is a Muncie wide ratio 4 speed. Hurst shifter with authentic shift rod. Rear end is the factory "P" case 3.70 posi unit. It has an over sized aluminum radiator.
This car is a period correct hot rod that you won't have to worry about someone else at the cruise night having one like it. Drives like a new car. Very reliable and exceptionally fun to drive.
Again, call me at 314-732-5925 before you hit the enter key for honest answers to your questions.
