V-8 K5 Blazer built to get you anywhere and beyond, only 80000 miles
1974 Chevrolet Blazer
Up for sale is my beast of a truck, it's a collectible K5 blazer in amazing condition. It has a full removable hard top with all of the glass still in tact (very rare) and has been built to take on anything! The odometer reads just under 80000 and it HASN'T ROLLED OVER 100000 YET! That's right, this is an 80000 mile original blazer. This is still a 40 year old vehicle, but that at least allows you to get collectors plates and pay super cheap registration, insurance, and not need an emissions test. The truck has had plenty of work done to it and here's the list I can remember:
New:
- ORD transmission and engine mounts
-Valve cover gaskets
- brakes including new master cylinder
- Superlift adjustable draglink with 2" drop to correct steering with lift
- Steering gear and rag joint
- driveshaft lengthened and rebuilt with new u-joints and yokes by Rocky Mountain Driveline to meet requirements of lift
- nearly new General Grabber AT2 35x12.5x15 tires with full size spare (new Pro Comp mud terrain)
- ORD HD tie rod with new tie rod ends
- rebuilt transmission by Aamco
- Fairly new battery (10/20/16)
- alternator
- Newly re-sprayed truck bed liner as brush guards and on top
Some other mentionable mods and info about the truck:
- full removable hard top with all glass in good condition, includes full size safari rack and tire mount
- 5.7L Chevy 350 with NP205 transfer case and TH-350 transmission
- True dual exhaust (custom headers)
- Dana 44 front axle, 12 bolt rear axle pro-built with 4.88 gearing front and rear
- 6 inch Superlift suspension lift
- Custom front and rear bumpers with front mounted Superwinch
- Custom interior and rear end with under-bed storage and locking storage
- Tailgate off an 82 blazer with a fully functioning electric rear window
- (Almost) complete setup for a dual battery [Inhibitor, fuse, and tray installed]
- Aftermarket stereo and speakers
Now, I understand that it is a 40 year old vehicle and has problems as such, so as far as I know here are the problems with the vehicle:
- Very slight oil leak (just needs new valve cover gaskets)
- Slight give in the steering wheel (that's what the steering kit is for)
- One rust hole in the back of the bed (about 2 inches), only rust on all of vehicle
- Exhaust hole near the back driver side, professionally repaired (a mount broke and I had it patched and re-hung)
- Could also use new sealing around both doors
- Paint is fading/clear coat peeling (not noticeable)
Also included:
- 2 Trail Jacks
- 2 Jerry cans
- ORD bolt in steering brace kit
- A bunch of other random goodies (CB radio ready to be hooked up, miscellaneous original parts, etc...)
- ORIGINAL AIR CONDITIONING UNIT (Yup that's right, it's a factory AC blazer but the AC unit iscurrently removed. Could make a great on-board air conversion)
This truck has handled every trail and challenge I've put it through, it is truly a beast. I hate to let it go but being a college student soon to graduate I just don't need it around anymore- Condition: Used
