THIS CALIFORNIA NATIVE 1965 C10 CHEVY LONG BED TRUCK WAS BUILT AT THE FREMONT PLANT IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. THIS TRUCK HAS SPENT ITS ENTIRE LIFE IN MY HOME TOWN IN CALIFORNIA AND THE BODY IS SOLID WITH NO HIDDEN SURPRISES. THE BODY AND PAINT - The body on this truck is in over all good condition and the floor pans, kick panels are solid, they look good. The bed sides are original to the truck and do not look to have any old repairs or any damage to them. The top of the bed rails and the stake pockets are in good original condition and are not beat up or damaged. The inside of the bed is not beat up or overly abused and the original wood bottom will need to be replaced but the original bed rails are intact and are in good condition. Both of the doors are in good original condition and both of the doors are not rusty: just light surface rust only down low. Both front fenders are also original to the truck. I have checked the passenger side fender down low in-line with the battery and it shows no signs of rust: same with the driver's side, both look good. Both of the front fenders down low where they are usually rusty are nice and dry. Both of the inner fender wells and the battery tray are original to the truck and they show no signs of damage or rust: they look good. The radiator support is also original and it shows no signs of damage or rust and will not need to be replaced. The outer rocker panels and cab corners are original to the truck and they are in good condition. The inner rockers look solid there are no signs of rust. The body braces are also in good condition and they show no signs of rust or repairs. The windshield pillars and upper windshield area both outside and inside are rust free and are in good condition. The rain gutters are in good original condition: they show no signs of rot or rust. The top of the metal dash down by the windshield rubber is in good condition and it shows no signs of water stains or rust. The hood is in good condition and shows no signs of rust old repairs or damage just a few small dings. The hood hinges are in good condition and they are not sprung. The floor tunnel and the firewall are clean and rust free and the original paint on the fire wall looks good.This truck has all of its original GM panels and overall the body on this truck is clean for being original. This is an original truck and it has small dings and scrapes throughout and this truck is overall straight and clean. The original color is maroon metallic and the paint is old with thin spots, nicks, chips but it holds a nice shine and has a cool look.

THE INTERIOR- The inside of this truck is in good clean original condition. The original seat is intact with a good seat cover. The rubber floor mat is in good condition with no wear marks or holes. The original steering wheel is in good condition: there are no cracks in the wheel. The original instrument cluster is clean and in good working order except the fuel gauges. The interior paint throughout the truck is in good original condition. The heater is intact but is not connected and is not working. The dash paint is in good condition and overall the inside of this truck is clean.

THE MOTOR- This truck is equipped with the original stock 283 V8 motor. This truck runs good and this motor is not a leaker or smoker. The motor still has the original gray paint along with the high torque valve cover sticker. The motor is equipped with all the original GM factory accessories.

THE TRANS - The trans is the original 3-speed manual transmission and it's in good working order. The steering columnsifter is nice and smooth, the truck shifts good.The original rear end is a nice tight rear end that does not clunk or howl. When you drop this truck into gear there is no universal joint clunks.

THE OVERALL- This C10 truck is a nice light patina driver that was well taken care of and was not beat on or abused. This is a very original truck and is a hard truck to find in this condition. The front end components all look to be original and the truck steers straight for being a 1965 Chevy truck. The tires are old and will need to be replaced. This truck is equipped with the original stock springs and this truck is stock height. The glass is in good original condition. The original electrical is in good working order and is in good condition but the blinkers will need work. The door rubbers and new and the felts are original but are intact. The brakes are in good working order, but you will need to look them over just to be safe due to age. The exhaust is old, but is not leaking. This truck runs and drives great and the bid back windows are hard to find in this condition. The bottom side of this truck is not under-coated from the factory and it is clear to see that it is not a rotted-out mess. This is an affordable classic truck that is a hard one to find in this condition, and this is a nice clean truck to own.
