I believe it won't be very long until there are no more reasonably priced '57 Corvettes available. Prices have just escalated at a remarkable rate over the last few years. This one is a great '57 Corvette project car, including thousands of dollars in parts, and it's my last Corvette project car. See detailed lists for what is included. I've been gathering parts for this one for months, and I believe I have almost everything to finish it except for a few minor things. This '57 has recently had a new front end from the doors forward very nicely installed. It has an extremely nice, solid '62 frame with no rust or damage, new tie rods installed, and very nice, tight steering. New tires on stock wheels and new hub caps. It still needs most brake parts. I was considering installing a disc brake system, so I haven't addressed any brake parts yet except for a new master cylinder. A strong running 350" motor I removed from an SS Chevelle has been installed (see parts list), with a new clutch, along with a 1962 Borg Warner T10 4 speed transmission, Hurst shifter, and a new driveshaft. The doors, hood, trunk lid, and deck lid are hinged. Some very minor body work is still needed. Almost all of the major parts are included, saving you the difficulty, time, and expense of locating all of these hard to get items. See the itemized lists of what is included. A new aftermarket electric windshield wiper system is also included. Includes a very nice interior: nice seat upholstery on very nice original frames and tracks, new door panels, new kick panels, new carpeting, etc. Also includes a nice convertible top assembly, along with a recent black Stayfast black top and a new weatherstrip set to be installed. New windshield in restored frame, rechromed front bumpers, rechromed headlight bezels, new headlight bucket assemblies, park lights/turn signals, rechromed rear bumpers, nice original pair of tail lights, original GM grill oval, new grill assembly, rechromed door posts, gas fill door, very nice original set of side cove trim, convertible top latches, more.
Interior parts included:
Mostly new red interior, including nice used seat upholstery on excellent original seat frames and tracks, new door panels, new kick panels, new carpet set, new steering wheels, hub, bell, and horn button, new gauges, clock, and original speedometer, radio delete plate, door sill plates and kick plates, speaker grills and bezel, turn signal switch and bell, nice dash rail and upper door rails, glove box door with all 6 stainless trim pieces, both side windows, window guides, channels, and reveals, new door cranks and handles, pair of original window regulators, door end caps, restored deck lid stainless trim, more.
Mechanical parts included:
350" engine with new starter, new water pump, new fuel pump, new chrome alternator, new clutch, rebuilt carbureto, very nice Edelbrock intake manifold, new distributor, new air cleaner, ignition shielding with new brackets, very nice Corvette aluminum valve covers, bell housing, T10 4 speed transmission with Hurst shifter, new driveshaft, new gas tank, hose, and sending unit, new aluminum radiator and hoses, new tires on stock wheels with new hubcaps, hood hinges, prop and latches, pedal assembly and misc. clutch linkage, more.
