Description:
1974 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Landau
Here is an extremely rare 1974 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Landau 2 door hardtop with the numbers matching LS4 454 big block factory engine. Original turbo 400 column shifted. VIN 1H57Y4K469457 proves it is a 454 car. It is a ONE OWNER SURVIVOR. I have the factory warranty card and owners manual for it. No build sheet found yet as it is likely on top of the gas tank or behind a door panel. Really rare red over red with white landau vinyl top. There is not a single dent, ding or speck of rust on it. 100% factory original paint and pinstripe. Factory wheels (6). Just put a new headliner, battery, and carpet in it. Upholstery on seats is original and in good condition. Dash is cracked. Factory in dash 7K Tachometer works perfectly! ALL original and perfect glass including the windshield and mirror glass. All of it is date coded original LOF (Libbey Owens Ford) glass! The big block 454 rated at 235 h.p. (net) fires easily and runs well with no noise or smoke. Still has the factory smog pump in place along with the factory Q-Jet. ALL engine components from the alternator, manifolds, A/C, air cleaner, etc. are factory original. It still even retains the original factory dual exhaust system and mufflers that still sounds great. Options are: 454 c.i, turbo 400, 12 bolt posi (don't know what ratio), 7k tach (works!), tilt (works!), cruise, A/C, 6 way power seat (works fine!), sport mirrors, AM/FM 8 track (works!), power front disc brakes, power steering, dual exhaust. The original paint has faded and is worn down in a spot or two. Which means it has great patina!! Nothing is hidden by primer or fresh paint! The doors close like new and don't sag when opened. Door panels are very nice. Windows go up and down nicely. The A/C has a nicked wire that will need repaired and will need recharged. The headlights have a chewed wire or two out in the open in the front that will need spliced. The cruise will need fixed as the diaphragm has seperated. Horn, gauges, turn signals, wipers, interior lights, dash lights, park lights, and tail lights all work. Vinyl top is in poor shape but there is no indication of any rust under it. Bumpers and grille are excellent. I have pictures of the perfect floor pans from the inside while the carpet was being installed as well as the completely rust free trunk area but there isn't room to post them here. I can email them to you if you give me a personal address or call me at the number listed below. Bought new in my home town (and been here ever since!) and only has 88,758 miles on her. This car shifts nicely, the brakes are smooth, and the steering is very nice. It will need basic maintenance done such as oil change, tranny flush, radiator flush, belts, and hoses to be road worthy as well as new tires. Don't miss this one...it is the first time offered for sale since Dec. 1973 and when do you expect to see another documented very low mile LS4 with original paint and no rust or dents!! Starting bid is $4,332 below average NADA book value! Please look at my feedback to see that my word and reputation are golden.
Shipping will be from 81416 western CO and is the winning bidder's responsibility. I can help with loading it on a trailer.
