Description:

1970 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport

1970 Chevrolet Camaro RS / Rally Sport
This is a strong running '70 Camaro RS split bumper Street Machine that was in storage for many, many years here in Texas. When was the last time you saw a car running around on Cragar wheels Pro-Trac 60s in the back? Well here it is, the Hot Rod you always wanted or use to own when you were younger. This is a true Rally Sport V8 '70 that was originally Citrus Green, old repaint in black currently. The engine is not the original block but is a healthy 4bbl. 350 with a mild performance cam. The undercarriage is excellent original sheetmetal front to back, pans, subframe, rockers, inner quarters and fenders are all solid. The paint and body are driver quality with a lot of flaws. There are several dings & imperfections. (SEE PHOTOS) The car has some wave to it down the sides. It has an aftermarket cowl hood also.
Be sure to check out the video below of this car roasting its tires & idling, etc. along with the detailed photos. The interior is really solid, intact. Factory vinyl headrest bucket seating. The trunk is solid original. The engine bay shows original sheetmetal throughout the firewall, inner fenders, and core support. The car will definately need tires if you plan on driving it a lot along with other odds and ends. We do have the side mirrors. You can reach Rob direct at 214-364-5671 or Sam at 972-748-6389 with any questions. We are leaving this one for a new owner to drive, restore further, and enjoy. Note some of the body dents along the driver's door seen above at the beltline.

We love the look of this car as is. It sounds mean too (Play the video) Again, this is a true Rally Sport from our detective work. The original VIN plate & trim/date plate are intact also.

The interior will need some clean-up but is all there and in decent shape. (Photos tell the story) The seats are intact, the steering wheel has a separation, again see photos. The dash needs to be affixed better on the passenger side near the windshield. The door panels are in good condition. Window cranks will need to be installed. Original gauges are intact along with center console, seat belts, and headrest seating. The car was originally green inside it looks like & was Citrus Green outside. Glass is intact throughout.

The 350 is non-matching numbers, not original to the car but it runs out strong. It has an aftermarket Edelbrock 4bbl. carburetor and chromed headers. Old School chromed Moroso radiator shround, chromed fender braces, HEI distributor, manual front disc brakes.

VIN and trim plate are intact.

Excellent original metal underneath. You can even see a lot of the original red oxide primer.

Old School Traction bars & again check out those old Pro-Trac 60 series tires. We lit them up, smoked them down in the video, right before we pulled on the lift for these photos.

Check out those floors.

Performance converter & big balancer (383?)
