You are bidding on a 1956 Chevrolet wagon that was built at the Oakland California Chevrolet Plant, it has 78437 original miles, see photo's on mileage records, in 1985 it had 77000 on car, original mileage is correct.BODY- Only one paint job over oginial paint and painted original color. There is no filler in car, body is very straight. All emblems and stainless steel trim are original when car was new and all intact, beautiful grill, bumpers never hit, only need rechroming, upper and lower tailgate are in excellent condition with NO RUST. Spare tire compartment rust free, I may add it also has the original 56 Chevy Jack.Floors are solid, the floor pans had been repaired but not the right way. I do have the correct pans for this car. The right front fender has a bubble in the lower corner a small amount of rust that is normal for this year chevy. Rear seats fold down real nice, linoleum on seats are fair and original, has original steering wheel in nice condition. Headliner is real nice (like new).The engine is a all original 265 that came in this car when new, now having 78437 miles on it now, runs very nice and smooth with no smoke, had the original power pack carburetor rebuilt, also has the original power pack air cleaner. Has new starter and water pump.
