1986 Chevrolet C-10

FRESHLY RESTORED BOX CHEVY, 355 V8, HEADERS/DUALS, CUSTOM PAINT/INTERIOR, R134A

Cool sport trucks aren't a new invention, but many times they're so over-styled that they stop being practical as trucks, and what's the point of that? This 1986 Chevy C10 looks like those pickups you see on magazine covers, but can still do a few odd jobs around the house and drives well enough to take cross-country.

OK, so the custom paint is so nice that you won't want to be hauling gravel with this one. The bright electric blue paint is by House of Kolor, so you won't have to worry about this thing looking like a refugee from the '80s like so many other sport trucks seem to. The look is elegant, yet makes a bold statement, and there's just no way to ignore this truck when it shows up. It's all buried under a smooth, glossy layer of clear, and up close it's obvious that someone spent a LOT of time getting the bodywork lined up and smoothed out. The shine is deep and with only a few signs of use, it still looks ready to go to the big shows. Remarkably, this truck gets its trick look with only a few alterations, including some shaved badges, and the only notable non-OEM piece of hardware on the truck is that billet grille. Much of the trim is new, including the bumpers, and all the lights on the front of the truck have been replaced with clear-lensed units that really update the look. There's also a nicely done spray-in bedliner that allows this truck to still earn its keep now and then.

This truck was an up-market Silverado from the start, so that means it's loaded with options and a comfortable cockpit is part of the deal. A late-model bench seat and OEM door panels still look great, and the tan works perfectly with the blue paint. Original gauges look great and are framed by a stock 4-spoke steering wheel. The list of equipment is extensive, including goodies like A/C and a tilt wheel make this a truck you can drive cross-country. A new Pioneer AM/FM/CD/MP3/Bluetooth head unit and a subwoofer behind the seat ensures you'll be entertained while you do it. New carpets, custom kick panels, and a nicely stitched dash cover all add to the upscale feel when you climb inside.

A 355 cubic inch small block V8 was installed less than 50 miles ago, and it's been dressed in traditional Chevy Orange with black wrinkle-finish valve covers and air cleaner. New wiring, an upgraded A/C compressor with R134a refrigerant, and a new alternator ensure reliability, and an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor builds power effortlessly. An HEI ignition system and black coated long-tube headers bolster low-end torque and sound awesome, especially with Series 10 Flowmasters at the other end exhaling through turn-downs ahead of the rear axle. A TH350 3-speed automatic spins a 10-bolt rear end, which has a heavy-duty aluminum cover. It also appears to be wearing new shocks all around those giant 22-inch chrome IROC-style wheels look great and wear 265/35/22 radials for an awesome stance.

We've got plenty of cool trucks in stock, but few of them combine the slick looks, functionality, and timelessness of this C10. Call today!
