1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396

This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS lets you bring a performance-built 496 V8 to the streets from behind the wheel of A/C comfort. Oh yeah, it's time to get excited.
It's hard not to love a classic American muscle car in a deep shiny red, and this SS certainly wears the part of the era's most potent street car. The sculpted sheetmetal with a hint of front overhang, blacked-out grille, fastback hardtop profile, and form-fitting chrome bumpers are all part of what makes this Chevelle coupe a legend. So while you already know there is a monster upgrade under the hood, this iconic classic respects its roots (and has a bit of a sleeper image in the process.) In fact, the only upgrade over stock you'll see are the 15-inch American acing Torq Thrust wheels, and even those are the kind of additions these coupes received back in the day.
One look inside, and you know this Chevelle SS has everything you want. There was some investment here because the black vinyl shows very little seat time. Plus, the carpets, door panels, and dash all have a very fresh feeling to them. And speaking of fresh, the upgraded air conditioning running modern R-134a can keep everyone cool all through the summer season. Plus, the AM/FM stereo looks period-correct, but hides a digital tuner and auxiliary input. But the best features are reserved just for you. The upgraded wood and chrome steering wheel is like a beacon calling out from the darkness. And beyond that is a full gauge panel, including tach.
We all love a Chevelle with big block power, and it only gets better when someone has taken the time to give it a show-worthy shine. But as much style as this engine has, you're going to love it even more for its substance. This is a huge 496 cubic-inch V8 built by Fred White Racing around 500 miles ago. It includes go-fast goodies like a Holley HP four-barrel carburetor, hi-rise performance intake, fabricated aluminum valve covers, aluminum heads, and Hedman headers. We've got the dyno sheet to prove the monster power this Chevelle brings to the streets, but all you have to do is fire it up, and the thunderous roar of the dual exhaust will announce your superiority. Making sure all this power gets to the ground is TH350 three-speed automatic transmission fortified with a new B&M torque converter. This connects to an Eaton Positraction rear end with Mosler axles. And while this makes beastly power, the whole package is easy to control thanks to features like the power steering, thick sway bar up front, and front disc brakes.
Complete with build receipts, motor docs, and a DVD of the dyno test, you already expect to pay this much for a well-presented Chevelle hardtop... so the street-eating power is just a bonus. Don't let this one slip away, call today!
