1970 Chevelle LS5 454 4 speed #'s matching with documentation
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle ss454
This car has been in the family for 25 years. It is a numbers matching SS454 LS5 chevelle with an M22 4 speed, with bench seat. I have several original build sheets, and original window sticker. "Real Paper work, not fake" Also I have tracked down the original owner and he still has some paperwork. It still retains the original block, heads, intake, carb, distributor, cowl ind air cleaner, 12 bolt 3.31 CRV code. The M22 is not the original. I never got around to getting it painted because it's too much fun to drive as it is. Runs and drives very nicely. It is a solid car but not rust free. You'll find some small repairs if you look closely but would be an easy car to restore. The drivers side has the paint sun burned, trunk lid is also sun bleached. Hood is shinier but has chips and flaws. Roof paint also has seen better days. Interior is dark green, yes dark green, Some people don't care for the odd color combo but thats the way it was back in 70. The car now has a like new set of wide oval 14"tires on the original ss wheels. I'll be adding more pics of the engine compartment and interior and trunk floor. I can answer questions or texts, face time etc.Dave 651-431-0107Not interested in selling it before auction ends sorry. On Oct-28-17 at 17:58:10 PDT, seller added the following information:
I'll get a couple pics of the trunk soon. The car isn't a wavy bondo buggy, It's more like something you would have seen driving around in 1982. The front fenders are very clean, drivers side door will need to be replaced if it were to be painted. The trunk had a couple repairs done close to the wheel house years ago. Still looks nice. The engine was rebuilt in 1992 to factory specs. It had 69k miles on it in 92 now has 78K. The trans is in great working condition as well as the 12 bolt. I wouldn't be afraid to drive the car anywhere. Maybe could use some valve seals but the 454 is smooth and very powerful. Power steering was added in 92 but I kept the original manual box and pulleys. They will go with the car. I added a tach to it but never changed the speedometer. It had the non gauge SS dash. Has a am/fm radio.
