1967 Camaro Resto Mod
1967 Chevrolet Camaro
If you are looking for a mechanically done 1967 Camaro, then this is it. Car has been completely redone with all new mechanicals in 2016 (might have 1000 miles since the build). There is too much to list on this, so please ask questions and I will do my best to answer. Some of the highlights are:
The car is a 1967 (first year for the Camaro) V8, 4 speed, Bolero Red, bucket seats, tinted windshield, deluxe seat belts, deluxe interior, console car. That is all I can tell you based on the VIN and cowl tag. The SS identifiers are not on the cowl tag, but that does not mean is was 100% sure not to be an SS. At this point, it doesn't matter as the car has been modified and runs/drives better than any early Camaro ever came from the factory. A quick summary of the car (I have receipts for all items and TONS or original and extra parts - I kept everything).
1 -- New 383 Stroker/roller motor from ATK (435 HP / 475 TQ)
2 -- New Hotchkis TVS Suspension front and rear with tubular upper control arms
3 -- New Flaming river manual rack and pinion steering
4 -- New Wilwood 4 Wheel disk brake system with Wilwood Master Cylinder
5 -- New Centerline custom built rims with Nitto Tires
6 -- New 5spd TKO manual transmission and hurst shifter with new drive shaft
7 --New 3.73 Moser tru-trac posi rear end
8 -- Customized interior with racing seats, gauges, shoulder belts in the front, grant steering wheel, etc,
9 -- Front bumper removed and lower splitter installed
10 -- Completely new custom bent exhaust system with top of the line coated headers and X pipe
11 -- Interior completely lined with dynamat heat/sound deadener throughout
12 -- Aftermarket hood with cowl induction
13 -- Front Sub-frame removed, sand blasted, painted and all new poly body bushings installed
The list goes on and on. . .
This car really runs and drives VERY well.
Car comes with a TON of parts both used and new including: 4.10 rear end, old 350 motor, all of the suspension/steering/brakes that were removed, driveshaft, holley 750 carb, new fuel pump, chrome air cleaner, fluidamper, timing chain, camshaft, etc, etc, etc... I would say it's 3-5K in parts.
The BAD:
The body/paint is not perfect but almost everyone says that it is (it isn't). The passenger side fender (see picture) was replaced and painted the original color of the car. The stripe was also made period correct and the SS badge removed. That fender does not perfectly match the rest of the car... but nobody notices unless you say something. There is also a 'rippling' dent on the passenger side door (you can see if in the picture). The doors, etc line up 'ok', but if I were keeping the car, I would re-line things up and paint it. Climate control has been removed.
This car would take over 70K to get it to this point (before paint). I have a VERY low reserve on it.
I have a clean title in my name and the car is at my house in MA. Buyer will need to pay in full prior to taking the car (and funds must clear before taking the vehicle). A $1,000 deposit must be paid by the winning bidder within 5 business days. I am happy to answer questions and work with a serious buyer, so please do not hesitate to reach out. I will answer any and all questions to the best of my ability.
