Up for auction is our 79 Corvette L82 Coupe. This car has 22,200 documented original miles and was a one owner until fall of 2016. It was sold new at City Chevrolet in Charlotte, NC. And spent all of its life in that area in a climate controlled garage where it was truly pampered. This car includes the original sales invoice, odometer statement, owners manual, warranty booklet, maintenance schedule and keys. It also includes the original body color T-Tops in their bags and the original radio. This car is all original including the paint.

The exterior of this corvette is truly immaculate. It's believed to have all of its original paint and it looks perfect. There are no scratches, touch-ups, cracks or chips. Its free of swirl marks and has a deep highly polished look. All the glass is original and perfect. The wheels are also perfect originals and are scratch free and retain their original Goodyear Eagle tires.

The interior is 100% original and flawless. You will never find a 79 Corvette with a better interior. Its truly like new.....it even smells new. Never eaten or smoked in. All the gauges, lights, wipers, horn, radio, power antenna etc. work perfect. I am unaware of anything on this car that does not work perfect except the A/C needs recharging. As I mentioned, it includes both sets of T-tops (mirrored glass and body color) and the original working radio.

Under the hood is the original, numbers matching 225hp 350ci L82 Engine. These are 4-bolt mains, steel crank, 10.2:1 compression and were the biggest, most powerful engines of this erra. Except for a few easily removeable chrome accessories (includes the original black air cleaner) the engine compartment is very original and super clean. With absolutely no leaks or issues of any kind the engine purrs like a new car. The undercarriage is also immaculate and clean. The dealer undercoated the car when it was new and it still looks perfect. It is believed the car was never driven in the rain and never left the garage during the winter months. The spare tire, exhaust, and shocks are original and perfect.

We have been a member of NCRS since 1981 and have participated in judging for years. We believe If the original radio was reinstalled, and the under hood chrome items removed this car would Top Flight with ease. Its that good!
