1970 Chevrolet C10 Sortbed Truck
1970 Chevrolet C-10
I bought this truck about a year ago and finished it up to where its at now. I replaced almost everything. The guy I bought it from swapped the front clip out because he wanted a 67 front clip before it got painted. I had a 72chevy pick-upfor parts so I took the factory 5 lug disc brakes and axle out and installed it in this truck and put All new tie-rod ends, upper and lower ball joints, idler, front and rearshocks, all new bearings in hubs, brake calipers, brake pads, shoes in the rear, and wheel cylinders, hoses and master cylinder and before we put it all back togeather we cut offalmost 2 rings off the coil springs so it still rides nice instead of like most people take the easy way out and just heat them up but then there bouncy but this truck rides great! The truck had a 2 barrel on it so I swapped it and installed a 4 barrel intake and put a new EdelbrockElectric Choke Carbueretor on it,water pump new 4 core aluminum radiator, hose, plugs, wires, battery, starter, alternator, belt, oil, change, put dual flowmaster exhaust on it and had a Completely rebuilt 400 Turbo Transmission rebuilt by Transmission Kings and it now has appx 250 miles on it and shifts great. I had the drive shaft balanced by ITP as well. Before we put the axle back in we redone all the brakes as well on it and put new fluid and painted it. Ialso just installed a new gas tank, fuel pump and all new lines on it.When I got it I had a guy do the little body work and paint it and it turned out good! This is not a show a truck but its a very nice driver that gets plenty of attention. The body is really straight other then a few little dings he missed but not bad and he put fiberglass patches on the lower front fender and one of them has a crack but its been like that, its so low it doesn't bother me and I just put a NewWindsheild and rubber gasket in and new side mirriors. The color is silver metallic and looks beautiful in the sun and I just had the windows tinted to make it look better.I put Chevrolet Rally Rims on it 15x7 in the front with a 255/60/15's and 15x8's on the rear with 275/60/15's on the rear which look good staggered on the truck. All new reflectors and brake lights. New rockers welded in and patched a spot on the floor. The inside is all new with new carpet, door weatherstripping, grant steering wheel, new seat, covered door panels, new dash and etc. Just put a new Pioneer CD Player in with 2 speakers in the doors and 2 6x9's behind the seat and a set of new guages under the dash. The truck has no ac or heater I wanted to add a vintage air but never did.Overall I basically replaced most of the stuff that would go out on a 47 year old truck and it turned out to be a good little driver to enjoy on the weekends and hit car shows and cruise nights in. These trucks restored perfect bring high 30's to 40's but I would much rather buy one like this where its been restored as a nice driver you can go out and enjoy. I own and have owned much higher vehicles then this and I always worry everytime I leavethem in a parking lot but trucks like these you can enjoy and relax more while cruising around looking cool.
