1970 Chevrolet Blazer

just a beast of a truck. Hate to see her go,but too many other projects and I don't want it turn into an other rust bucket.
That being said, I'll start with the bad:
-as far as rust goes, the rockers are rusty, and would need to be replaced if you were going to restore. There are a few fiber glass goo jobs that would need to be cleaned up. Otherwise, for a nearly 50 year old truck.. she's not too bad.
- usual dings here and there to be pulled out
- light foot switch needs to be replaced. ( only brights work which is basically normal compared to what people have running in their cars lately.
- wipers get stuck
-usual trim leaks from removable top (yes the whole thing comes off and it's awesome)
- no radio. But there are speakers.
- the clutch bearing needs to be swapped out with the correct one. ( I hate mechanics) there is a long and short bearing, which ever one it has,it needs the opposite. It will drive and shift, but it can be a bit hard to get into gear from time to time.
THE GOOD:
- newer crate 350. Replaced in 2014 I would guess maybe under 30k miles.
- 4 on the floor trans with granny 1st gear.
- new ceramic clutch ($1800) however see above about that issue.
- new front bearings and brakes
- new exhaust from the mufflers back
- new Edelbrock electric choke 650 carb
- New windshield
- tires got plenty of life left
This has been my daily driver. I've driven it from upstate. New York, to Nashville Tennessee to all around southern and northern utah and here in Washington. I've absolutely loved it.
This is the best body style Chevy put out and the k5 is getting harder and harder to find. With a little bit of love you could dramatically increase the worth of the truck.
