You are bidding on an exceptionally nice, frame-off, fully restored 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible which we recently addedto our inventory! This vehicle was recently traded in by the previous owner on a newer C7 Corvette! The past owner had the vehicle for a number of years and clearly spent a great deal of money on it! As the story goes, the previous owner who traded it in was a pilot who stored this vehicle in a hanger in Florida. Apparently he wasn't getting enough use out of it, and decide to trade it in on something he could use on a more daily basis.
Thetrim-tag correct Goodwood Green (code 983) paint is beautiful, and it presents extremely well! The paint has a touch of metallic in it and it is striking in person with the Green/Saddle/Saddle combination! The paint and bodywork wasclearlycompleted by a professional who know how to lay down a very nice paint job. The paint is slick andthe only thing I can pick on--and I have a very critical eye--are a few verytiny/minor bumps(whichissometimes referred to as "solvent pop") in a fewvery limitedspots on the side of thenose. These are areas that I am not sure I can even photograph or videoas they are so minor in nature and unless they are pointed out, the are very hard to see/notice.The body fitment/margins areexceptional! All of the doors, hood, headlights, deck, top, etc all align, fit and close as they should. Headlights open and close smoothly! The frame, kick ups/end caps, body mounts, birdcage/windshield frame are all rock solid, and devoid of any issues, accidents, rust damage, etc.The bonding strips are in all four corners of thisCorvette, indicating a no-hit body.I cannot find any evidence of previous patches, or poor repairs on thebody of this vehicle.
The gorgeoustrim-tag correct Saddle Leatherinterior(trim tag shows it was originally equipped with saddle vinyl, code 420BC) has beencompletely restored, and it's in excellent condition. The convertible top, dash, dash pad, gauges, steering wheel, seat upholstery, door panels, and everything else imaginable has been replaced andit is all inlike-new condition.Thefull dashinstrumentation/gaugeshave been completely restored, along with the clock and radio and everythingappears to be in working order!
Exterior trim/chrome, front and rear bumpers, trim rings, emblems, tail lights, door handles, rocker mouldings, and the like are all in excellent condition and either new reproductions or refinished originals. Wheels and tires are inexcellentcondition.
The engine compartment has been through a complete detail/restoration, and it retains all of the original componentry, including thecorrect ignition shielding. The engine compartment is beautiful, and would certainly make the Vette a hit at any car show you attend. The engine has been previously rebuilt, it starts right up, doesn't smoke, and idles wonderfully. I have photos of the engine stamping on the front of the pad and/or casting numbers I can also email. The Powerglideautomatic transmission was recently fully rebuilt (receipts for the engine and transmission both included.)It runs, drives, brakes, andshifts great!A very tight, clean running/driving Vette!
The frame, kick ups/end caps, body mounts, birdcage/windshield frame are all rock solid, and devoid of any issues, accidents, rust damage, etc.The underside is clean, and detailed. The car has been clearly through a previous frame-off restoration with obvious rebuild/restoration of suspension componentry, exhaust, brakes, power steering system, etc. The only complaint about the underside is that it's missing the spare tire tub. These have been on and off availability in recent years on the reproduction market, so getting one eventually won't be a big deal.
We have ordereda fewhundred dollars worth of minor trim pieces (convt top latches, etc, new door sill mouldings, etc). If time permits these pieces will installed prior to shipping/pick up. If time does not permit, they will be included with the sale of the vehicle. All of the receiptsthat were included when we purchased it will also be included. These include the engine work, transmission, gauges, engine compt detail/parts/labor, etc). The rear leaf spring has not fully settled, which makes the rear of the vehicle sit a little higher than I prefer. I am working to resolve this or include the hardware necessary to do this as well.
The original trim tag and VIN tag are in place under the dash with correct rivets in place. The vehicle shows 36K actual miles and according to the title, it is believed to bethe original/correct mileage! Vehicle has a clear, lien-free Ohio title which will be transferred in the next owners name.
