Here's a Cool Rat Car, 1956 Chevrolet 4 dr. sedan sitting fully on a 1981 Pontiac Grand Prix frame, floor pan and suspension. In other words they cut the body along the sides to the back and set it down on Grand Prix frame, floors, including trunk, and up half way on firewall.this gives it power steering, tilt wheel, power disc brakes all in original position ...It has even the fuse block and wiring thru car from 1981 Grand Prix. All of under carriage is Pontiac .. I have rebuilt brake rotors, inner and outer wheel bearings, upper and lower ball joints, brake lines as well. when I rebuilt front end I replaced front spindles with 81 Pontiac station wagon so as to now have same disc pads as 1/2 ton pick up of same vintage. MKD 52 pads. I also installed KYB shocks all the way around with 3 in. lowered rear springs for the Gasser look !!! Yet it is smooth going down the rd. It still also has Grand Prix seats bolted in original position .. The hard work is done !! motor runs great, trans. great, brakes and steers very well. I have also found original gas neck to put fill cap back in left tail light. the gas tank is now in original Grand Prix position as is fill cap.. I have also replaced windshield and gasket. the car does need electric wipers installed. original 56 heater is in car but I didn't hook it up.. Thanks for looking and bidding !!

yes car does have rust around inside of doors. there is now no rubber around doors or trunk. Car has all new tires, I drive this car down interstate regularly.
