1981 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 3500 Scottsdale

Here we have a 1981 Chevrolet Scottsdale C30 1 ton 4WD pickup truck with only 43,290 miles on it. This is a very rare truck. This is the ultimate of Heavy Duty trucks! In 1981 very few 1 ton trucks were built due to the fuel crisis. I am the second owner to this truck. This truck has been in my collection since 1994 in a climate controlled shop. I did a body off restoration on the truck in 1995 using all the original GM sheet metal minus the fiberglass Harwood hood. Since the restoration I have put less than 2000 miles on the truck. The TH350 transmission and cast iron transfer case were rebuilt by Browns Transmission here in Newark, Ohio. The 14 bolt rear end with 10.5 inch ring gear and 4.10 detroit locker gears have been rebuilt. This truck originally came with a small block from the factory and I converted it to a big block. The engine is a 454 bored .60 over to 468 CID. This truck runs and sounds great! The block work was done by a local engine shop and then the following parts added:

Eagle forged crank with Eagle 6.135 rods (CRS61353D) and KB performance pistons (8-KB257)

Edelbrock Performer RPM rectangular port aluminum heads (#6055) with Crane aluminum 1.70 rockers (13750-16) with stud girdles (13602-1) along with Milodon valve covers (#85600)

Edelbrock Performer RPM hydraulic cam and lifters (#7162)

Edelbrock Victor Jr. aluminum rectangular port intake (#2902)

Milodon 7 quart oil pan with Moroso blueprinted oil pump (#22162)

Edelbrock Gear Drive (#7891)

Weiand aluminum Long water pump (#8242)

Holley 800 CFM #4780 with Barry Grant mechanical fuel pump (#170015) and K&N Air filter.

MSD HEI distributor (#8365) with MSD wires.

All new dual exhaust including DynoMax Headers with Flowmaster 50 series mufflers (this truck sounds awesome!)

Engine and transmission oil coolers.

Dual engine oil filters and remote transmission filter.

TCI 3300 stall converter (#241000)

Rancho shocks.

Tires are BF Goodrich 33x12.5R16.5LT and the Rims are aluminum Weld Racing Wheels.

The interior is mostly all original with the addition of Auto Meter gauges. The factory tach does work. The owner before me added the 6 inch lift kit and bed liner before I bought the truck. This truck has power steering, power brakes and tilt wheel. The truck also has a trailer hitch for towing purposes along with the heavy-duty radiator. This truck also came from the factory with dual fuel tanks, dual batteries and cab lights. You will not be disappointed with this truck if you are the winning bidder!
