Description:

1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne

This is a very nice and clean factory 1972 Chevrolet ¾ ton, 4wd, long bed, Cheyenne, K20 pickup. It took me about 6 years to completely restore.Everything has been restored to new or like new condition; most receipts on hand.

  • The body has been bead blasted, primed, and painted an original color from a 1989 Chevrolet pickup. The cab floor was replaced with a new one from Goodmark. The gas tank was professionally cleaned and restored. The doors have new window regulators, hinges, door latches, locks, and factory tinted glass. As well as all new weather stripping in doors, glass, and vent window. It has a new wiring harness with all new switches and a new modern fuse block. The headlights, tail lights, side marker lights, both bumpers and lower and upper trim are all new.The inside of the bed has been Rhino lined and the inner fenders have been sand blasted and powder coated.

  • Nearly all the interior is new including the seat, rubber floor, shifter boots, pedal pads, heater controls, dash pad, instrument bezel, windshield, tinted sliding back glass. The radio is new as well, from Retro Sound, complete with modern features and added speakers under the seat. The steering column, heater box, and both floor vents have been completely rebuilt. The seat belts and sun visors were in great shape and dyed black.

  • The running gear has also been completely rebuilt. The engine is a professionally built 400 small block bored .030 with flat top pistons, scat rods, stock crank, World Products 2.02 valve 67cc heads, stamped steel roller rockers, 254/262 comp cam, HEI ignition, Edelbrock air gap intake, Quick Fuel Slayer series carburetor.Connected to a stock granny gear 4-speed transmission with a new clutch and a rebuilt NP 205 transfer case. Also both drive shafts are new with Spicer joints. The Dana 44 front differential has a 4.11 gear ratio with all new bearings, seals, u-joints, ball joints, brakes, and also has the factory Spicer hubs. The Eaton rear differential is a 9.5 ring gear with a 4.10 gear ratio, and also has a rare factory Detroit locker with all new bearings, seals, and brakes.I swapped some used tires and wheels from another truck I'm working on so that it would make the truck more affordable and customizable to the buyer's individual taste.

  • The frame was completely stripped of every line, bolt, nut, clip, etc. so it could be sand blasted and epoxy coated. It was then installed with new brake line, fuel line, bolts, clip, etc.It has a 4" Soft Ride suspension lift in the front with a stack of heavy duty springs in the rear. The radiator cradle was also sand blasted and epoxy coated with a new 4 core radiator.

  • The exhaust starts with ceramic coated Hedman Elite hedders, 2-40 series Flowmaster mufflers, and 2-1/2" exhaust that dumps out before the rear bumper so that it's basically hidden.

  • Video is available of the sound, but Ebay doesn't allow me to link it here. Contact me for link or with any other questions or photo requests.
