1965 CORVETTE 1965 Corvette Convertible, Original numbers matching 327/300Hp engine, Close ratio 4 speed ( Engine stamp shows an "HR" stamp indicating the car left the assy line with a powerglide transmission and has since been converted to a Muncie 4 speed with the correct shifter ). Factory equipped A/C with original Frigidaire compressor still blows cold, factory equipped power steering, power windows and SS power brakes with the original dual port cast iron master cylinder. Original and correctly dated 3:36 open differential. This is an exceptional, unrestored, unmolested original condition car with only restoration performed as needed. Milano Maroon exterior ( repainted several years ago) in superb condition with maroon interior ( a one year only color combination ). White soft top in excellent condition. The interior is all original except for new carpet. Original and restored AM/FM radio, Teak steering wheel, restored, correct and correctly dated power antenna. All engine components are correct and properly dated, pics available. Note: fan clutch is new and is an aftermarket model. All the gauges as well as the clock work perfectly. Washer squirters also work as they should and I have the original washer bag which was replaced due to dry rot. Factory original VIN & trim tags. Pics available of engine stamp, VIN, etc., verifying originality. NCRS/ GM shipping records (SDR) show a build date of 5-26-65 originally sold by Don Allen Chevrolet of Miami, Florida, dealer code zone 26-022. The car is in outstanding condition to be mostly unrestored and original. Runs and drives without any issues, engine purrs like a kitten and doesn't smoke. Engine currently has finned aluminum valve covers not original to the vehicle, I do have the original GM orange steel covers. Car is keyed properly: All locks function correctly, including the glove box and the spare tire lock which has the correct rubber cover as seen in photos. Correct jack and handle is in the storage compartment.Car currently has finned aluminum direct bolt knock-off wheels. I also have a set of 4 original replacement hub caps and a set of steel wheels which can be seen in the pics. Most all factory correct type components including seat belts, spare tire, shifter, shielding, air cleaner, hoses & clamps, expansion tank, fuel door assembly, glove box door with working light, owners manual and more. It becomes obvious upon inspection the car has had a very sheltered life. The car is garage stored and hasn't seen a drop of rain in years. An outstanding example of a well cared for highly optioned Corvette convertible. As far as I can tell, this is a no hit car. All bonding strips are perfect. Paint is in super condition with only a couple very minor blemishes that don't show in the pics. I'll be happy to send additional pics upon request. Make note, this is a very correct car with correctly dated components. The car isn't perfect, but very nice and not full of incorrect parts.I have expressed the cars condition to the best of my ability.
