1969 Chevrolet Camaro Base Hardtop 2-Door 5.4L *NO RESERVE*
1969 Chevrolet Camaro
NO RESERVE. Up for bid is a 1969 Camaro, ase model with SS options. Let me start off by saying this is not a show car or numbers matching car. It is however, great looking/running car. There is no reserve so someone is going to get a great car for a good deal. I will be as descriptive as possible, ut the car is over 45 years old and I can't speak of what was done before I owned it. I have owned the car for 11 years. Since I have owned the car I haven't done any major work to it. I had the car painted in 2006 and the carb professionally rebuilt a month ago. I have done nothing else to it besides the occasional oil change and tune up.
Body: I would the rate the paint a solid 8. It has always been garage kept. There is no rust on the car. The body is straight. I have no idea if any of the body panels have been replaced. Underside is clean as well. The bottom of the trunk was treated (looks like paint) with a rust preventative. This is my guess, ut the trunk mat covers it so I never really researched it further. See attached picture.
Engine: 327/4 speed. Not sure aboutthe actual miles. I have no reason not to believe the odometer, ut I have nodocumentation to say otherwise.Don't know if the engine is original. I know it originally came with a V8, ut don't know anymore than that. Do not know the horse power either. It goes fast when you push down on the skinny pedal though. Carb is a Holley 750 cfm 4 barrel. There is asome rust on the headers. This just showed up in the last year. Doesn't burn oil and always cranks on the first try.
Interior: No radio. There is a heater core, ut no plumbing for the heater. I don't drive it in the winter and I just moved from the south so I never worried about it. There was a rattle coming from the dash when I purchased the car. In order to fix the rattle I had to take the dash out. In the process of putting everything back together I hooked up the wipers incorrectly. Taking the dash off wasn't fun the first time and I don't drive it in the rain so I never hooked up the connection to the wipers correctly.
Hopefully this answers any questions that you may have. If not, lease feel free to email mewith your questions. This is a great car and it is going to make someone a happy owner. Good luck and happy bidding.
