1972 Chevrolet Nova

I am the second owner of this Nova and it runs great. It's near original and you could finish the restoration either by going full original, or sporting it out. This was a very base model, no power steering, no power brakes, no AC. However, it does have a modern sound system. It was my daily driver for fourteen years and it's very reliable.

It was a 'three on the tree' manual shift, but I moved the stick to the floor. It's still a three speed manual transmission. The distributor has been swapped for an electronic ignition, but it exists in the same housing so doesn't look any different; you just don't have to wrestle with setting the points. The engine is the original 250, straight six cylinder. The original owner rebuilt it once at about 90k miles because he was taking a class, I rebuilt it about 120k after that. I'm proud that I got to drive it past the 250k mark.

It has many, if not all the original logos, including the one embedded in the dash above the glove box. The hubcaps are not original to the car, but they are authentic from with the era. While I removed the full size spare tire, the rim is still there and it can be easily replaced. I've used original and era appropriate parts throughout. All lights and basics work and the displays are 95% clean and clear.

Oh, and it includes a very creative and effective, custom designed cup holder. (See picture - it may not be pretty but it works. It's also easily removable.)

It could use a paint job, but has been garage kept its whole life and is very clean. One of the trunk rod springs broke, but I'm providing a replacement pair (that's the long box in the trunk photo). The passenger side seatbelt needs replacing, but I'm providing that as well (not self-coiling). The mechanism under the passenger side of the front bench seat either needs to be adjusted or replaced.

I'm including a bike rack, pre-sized for the trunk, and a box of miscellaneous parts that were given to me when I bought it. Also, a new steering wheel wrap is included, even though the current one is in excellent shape.

I'm trying to be as up front as possible about the condition of the car, but there is no warranty implied and it's being sold as-is. Buyer is responsible for picking up the vehicle within ten days of the end of auction, though I can be flexible on pick-up time if the request is reasonable.

Let me know if you have any questions.
