Description:

1969 Chevrolet G20 Van Cargo Van

All original van runs, stops, all lights work, brakes work with new wheel cylinders, good tires and spare, original factory jack, All new lenses and bulbs, good glass with new window felts in front doors and NOS drivers regulator, all doors latch, recovered seats with optional fold up passenger seat. Rebuilt fuel sending unit with working gas gauge and new filler and vent hoses. New headlight switch back up light switch, stop light switch, dimmer switch. New water pump and hoses. Recored original radiator. Heater core is there but has a leak so it has been bypassed. fan works, wipers work but washers don't. Horn works. Chevy repair manuals and owners manual included. This van is almost 50 years old and has been worked hard but it is very solid and complete. This is a good starter for a rat rod, patina rod or just a fun van to play with. There are some major dents in the body which you can see in the pics and lots of small dents and wear and tear. cargo floor is solid but has surface rust from the paint being worn off.The van is mostly worn original paint with some old dent repair on the front corners. The windshield rubber has let water in causing the rust around windshield and the rust shown in the door step area. The top of the van is straight and the side panels are very straight. there are some small screw holes where there were signs on the sides and an antenna over the cab. The engine has good compression but smokes some due to old valve guide seals and one rocker stud has pulled up but has been pressed back in. Probably would be a good idea to tap and thread the rocker studs and do the valve guide seals. 250 6 cylinder is original motor according to engine codes and has 3 on the tree. linkage is a bit sloppy but works fine. Original air cleaner and carb. The cab floor has some rust in the seams from the windshield leak but the large hole shown was cut out by PO because sagging floor was restricting clutch linkage. It is nit just a big rust hole.Very fun van. Still needs some love but would be a great candidate for resto or camper conversion.
I would prefer to sell to someone that can come see the van first as there will be no returns and the van can only be sold in the USA.
Please ask questions. I have done all I can do to save this van and since I don't do body work it's time to move it on so you can take it to the next level or play with it as is.
