Description:

1952 Chevrolet Other Pickups pick up

Up for sale is my 1952 Chevy truck.
I built this over the 2007 year, and it hit the road the summer of 2008.
Since that summer, its been my spring, summer and fall daily driver, rain or shine.
I built it to be used as a real truck, which i did and still do. I didn't want to build it if i couldn't haul with it.
It's super reliable, quick and will haul everything from motorcycles, hotrod bodies, parts etc etc...whatever you need hauled that the chassis can handle.
So the questions im sure everyone will ask. Here are the details.
Body:
-4" chopped top
-Suicide doors with bear claws and safety latches
-molded drip rails
-factory cowl louvers added to driver side cowl
-welded hood (no longer 2 piece)
-Shaved door handles
-paint is single stage urethane black with flattening agent added so its a sealed paint, NOT primer. it can be washed, and does not stain
-Flames are single stage gloss red
-Mr Horsepower logo on lower fenders was hand painted
-all glass is smoke tinted (the glass is, it is not film)
-Vent windows function great as well. a feature not all that common on chopped vehicles
-has glass running boards and rear fenders, all else is steel
Chassis:
-88 S-10 chassis
-lowered with dropped spindles and springs up front, and blocks in back. This is NOT bagged, its a static drop and does not hit or bottom out. The ONLY time it will is if you go over a speed bump too fast, it will bump the front fenders behind the wheels
-power disc brakes
-manual steering
-front brakes have about 3K miles on them, rears about 15K
-wheels are vintage 15x7 aluminum straight spoke direct bolt pattern. they dont say American Racing on them, but they are just like the other vintage AR wheels i have.
Drive train:
-355 chevy
-world product heads with 76cc chambers, and faria 2.02 stainless valves
-screw in rocker studs
-Comp cams full roller rockers
-Comp cams solid lifter cam with aprox 5.20 lift. I'm sorry i cant recall the actual size, i built this 9 years ago
-poly locks
-chromoly push rods
-arp hardware
-steel crank
-forged 12.1 pistons
-double roller chain
-melling pump
-edelbrock intake
-edelbrock AVS 650 cfm carb
-HEI dist with accel super coil
-Snow performance methonol injection system.
^^^^^^^^^^
the methonol injection system allows this truck to be run on 93 octane pump gas, so dont get all nervous thinking the compression will limit this from being driven!!
it is a serious system designed for vehicles with high compression, turbo's or blowers and injects a methonol/water mixture into the intake via a carb plate and injector very similar to a nitrous system..
There is a small pump on the inner fender, a small computer and a gallon tank on the firewall.
It uses every day typical washer solvent as it's "fluid"
And it WORKS. it's been on it for about 5/6 years now and its an incredible system. No detonation.
Google snow performance and read up on it if you want to know more, or dont understand.
Simple fact is, keep the jug full or washer solvent and there is NEVER a problem.
anyway
Thansmission:
-turbo 400 with shift kit
-mild TCI convertor
-2600lb gvw trans cooler
Rear end:
-stock S-10 housing
-Richmond 3:36 gears, NON posi
-all new bearings and seals when i built the truck
Wiring and accessories:
-Rebel wire 12 wire system
-Vintage air gen 3 heat/air/defrost system. air cond blows 47*!
-Power window specialties 2 speed wiper system
Interior:
-i sectioned a 55 chevy passenger car dash in this truck. it's probably the high point of the build. Its super straight and gloss black. the wrap around portions were welded to the doors so when they are closed the dash is complete looking as it was in the car.
-Gas guage works as well
-ididit tilt column
-old 3 spoke 2 hole steering wheel (wheel in the pics is no longer in the truck, but it pretty much looks the same)
-B&M ratchet shifter (shifter in the pics is not longer in the truck)
-seat is from an 88/89 silverado and in pretty nice shape. has one small burn hole in it
-vintage 2 gauge holder under the dash with Auto Meter black face electric gauges. Oil pres and water temp
-has lap belts
other stuff:
-one off stainless gas tank under rear of bed. Stainless flip filler cap in the bed
-Class 3 trailer hitch
-the bed floor is 1/8' polished diamond plate aluminum built on a 1x2 11 ga steel frame work.
-has tie downs at each corner of the bed. like i said, i wanted to be able to actually use this.
-i built a stainless tool box in the bed floor ahead of the axle. it is also where the battery is located.
Overall, this is a solid truck that i've genuinely driven as my daily for the past 9 years. i've logged about 52-55K miles on it without a single issue, ever. The odometer reads 2400 miles but i never reset it when i installed the dash and it flipped 100K on it a little while ago. It was around 50K when i installed it when i built the truck.
It's proven to be more reliable than my more modern truck.
Is it a perfect truck that you can wax and spit shine for the local cruise night?
umm, no,but it IS the perfect truck to drive every day, haul stuff in, use, and take the attention way from those spit shined trucks at the local cruise nights.
Trust me, it does just that.
The Bad?
not much really
-if it rains hard the windshield will leak at the top center
-could use intake gaskets. has a small oil leak at the front and i havent had time to fix it
-lower couple grill bars have some dings
-has scuffs and scratches inside the bead area from use and a couple marks on the body but no heavy scratches or dings/dents
-if you want it finished, you'll have to do the interior.
So, in a nut shell, if you're looking for a hotrod truck that isn't a trailer queen, can haul goods and a$$, will get you there and back every time and look sinister doing it, this is the truck.
I'm listing this truck because honestly i have too much stuff and something needs to go...it's not one i thought i'd ever let go of but life changes.
So my loss is your gain.
I also have this listed locally so i reserve the right to end this listing early if it sell's locally and is sold as is, so, Please read the description carefully, look at the pics and ask questions.I'm open to REASONABLE offers but no trades of any kind.
thank you.
