Description:

1969 Chevrolet Camaro

his is a true 69 Z11 Pace Car convertible. All exterior panels are, or have been, rusted with the exception of a perfect tail light panel. Floorboards need replacement as well as the trunk floor.

I removed the windshield header trim to expose a solid rust free windshield frame. Subframe and rear frame boxes are solid, trunk drain rails are very solid, as is rear seat bracing. Convertible floor x bracing is solid, and trunk floor is solid at tail light panel. Bucket seat platforms are nearly rust free.

Seat frames are nice, very tight tilt steering column, power top functions perfectly, console body is perfect, top plate has been drilled for aftermarket gages, shifter is nice, interior is complete but needs replacing, dash is nice, but rusted at windshield base.

Windshield is cracked, but side glass is good, all window regulators function. Headlight doors are operable, with the exception of the vacuum canisters. Wiring seems to be decent with operable turn signals, 4ways, wipers, radio, glove box light and even back up lights.

Car had been sitting 18 yrs prior to my purchase 1 yr ago. I installed a new fuel pump, HEI distributor with wires, and had the spreadbore Holley cleaned to get it started. Starts easily, but has a miss. Non original 71 350, CGC code. Has the 69 heads on it with an Edelbrock intake. Original 12 bolt non posi,3:07ratio, multi spring unit. Turbo 350 trans, may be original, I couldn't access the code area, and it was a moot point to me since the engine isn't original. Has a complete original bumper jack, and 4 14x7 YJ wheels.

Power steering functions, power brakes do not, non AC car. Gas tank needs cleaned, car is running off of a gas can in trunk.

Car pulls itself but can't feel it shift due to inoperable brakes. I purchased the car because it was supposed to be numbers matching. Since I found it isn't, I don't want to expend the time or energy on it, I'd rather purchase a car I desire more.

I've tried to represent this car as well as I can; knowing I've left out plenty, I think it's a very suitable candidate for restoration. I appear to be the 3rd owner, and according to BMV the 49k miles are actual. Prior owner purchased it in '79. It has had 2 repaints that I can tell, one being solid orange. I can't guarantee any information is correct, but have no reason for doubt.

If you come to pick up the car and feel I've misrepresented it, you don't have to take it, I'll go to the next bidder, and on down the line; I'm not going to drop the the price. I can go through the brake system and drive it around for laughs and trade it for something else. It has a clean Indiana title, and if you have zero feedback don't bid. $500 non-refundable deposit through PayPal within 48 hrs; the balance can be bank certified funds mailed to me, or due on pickup if arranged prior to sale.

Car can be stored for a reasonable length of time to accommodate shipping arrangements and will assist with loading; bring a winch.

Ask any questions, I'll answer as honestly as I can.
