1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Big Block 5 Speed Buckets Must see

Price: - Item location: Sherman, Texas, United States
Description:

1965 Chevrolet Chevelle

Exterior:
  • The paint is decent driver quality with some small imperfections here and there.
  • The fiberglass hood is in good shape and has hood pins that secure it closed.
  • The bumpers are both in good shape.
  • The grille and all of the trim is really nice as well.
  • All of the glass is in good shape and all of the windows roll up and down easily.
  • It has a nice set of 15" Weld Draglite wheels with 195/60 tires up front and 236/60 tires out back.
  • It looks like there has been some work to the rear floor pans and they were heavily undercoated by a previous owner so I am not 100% certain on what condition the floor pans are in.
Interior:
  • All of the interior is in really good shape.
  • The door panels are nice.
  • The seat covers are all in really good shape and are not ripped, torn, etc.
  • The carpet looks to be pretty new.
  • The dash and dash pad are in good shape and don't have any cracks.
  • The headliner is nice but looks like it could be tightened up some.
  • A nice set of aftermarket gauges is mounted to the bottom of the dash and they all work correctly.
  • The speedometer does not work.
  • The heater does not work but it is hooked up. I have not looked into why it is not working.
Drivetrain:
  • The engine is a very strong running and healthy 402 big block with an aluminum Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap 4 barrel intake with the Endurashine coating, Quick Fuel 4 barrel carburetor and a set of ceramic coated long tube headers that runs through dual exhaust back to Flowmaster mufflers. The car has a super deep, great sound to it. It also has a nice set of polished aluminum fabricated valve covers that shine well.
  • The aluminum radiator helps keep the big block cool.
  • The transmission is a World Class T5 5 speed manual and has a hydraulic clutch setup. The transmission shifts very well and doesn't grind or make any noise. The clutch is pretty stiff and takes a bit of getting used to at first but it doesn't slip at all.
  • The original 10 bolt rear end has an open differential. The car would really benefit from having a posi-trac installed.
Suspension:
  • The stock suspension has been upgraded with a set of aftermarket disc brakes up front. It has a manual master cylinder and drum brakes out back but it seems to stop very well.
  • It has power steering that steers easily.
  • The car is a lot of fun to drive with the healthy big block and 5 speed transmission.
