1950 Chevrolet delivery

a really cool custom job, the handles were shaved, leather power seat in good condition, custom wood dash with gauges, all gauges work, car has a working a/c system that may need a charge, sterio system, converted to 12volt with altenator, dual carbs, split dual exhaust manifold with a dual exhaust system. custom running lights on front and back, rear lights were shave, light bar under tailgate door is the lights for the rear,,all lights, wipers, signals and horn work...the cars basic needs are these: paint is peeling on the roof from a tarp left on it, the door poppers that are in it are shot, i pulled the one from the rear door and tested it {dead} so it is accessed through the wing windows. the engine is good, the 3 speed manual trans and clutch are good through all gears, the exhaust is good and sounds great, the brakes are fine...would likely need a good tuneup and maybe carbs cleaned or rebuilt, it is hard to start some days, other days it fired right up but you can feel something breaking up a bit while driving, most likely points and such. 23,000 miles since build on the new gauge, miles actually on the car unknown,body is pretty solid and only dent is on the rear tailgate door and a small ding on the side that does not show up in photos but its there {just a ding}..the rear door latch needs adjusting, i have it where it does not close completely so i can grab the edge to pull it open because the popper is dead. all 3 doors open fine from inside, there is a button under the back bumper that was for the door poppers and one behind the driver seat that was for the rear door,,install a set of new poppers and give it a good tuneup and its road ready, tires are good...this is a "no reserve" auction so please, only bid if you are serious about buying it..just one bid sells the car and it will sell to the highest bidder no matter what the bid is, the car is in northeast phila pa 19111, feel free to stop and look it over, or ask any questions or concerns now before the end of the auction,,3 day auction ends this weekend !!

i was asked "when was the last time it ran" ANSWER: i went out today and it fired right up and i took it up and down the street, runs well but likely needs the carbs cleaned or rebuilt and maybe the points cleaned, adjusted or replaced. personally i would do away with the points of i were keeping it..its a really eye catching ride as it is.

a caller had a few questions, he got my number from an old ad,,it does run and drive now, just needs a good tune up/oil change and carb cleaning or rebuild {there are 2 carbs on a custom intake}, if your in the phila area i can trailer it to you for a small fee, and yes it has a clear title and all the lights and signals work, also it did have the rear lowered for that led sled look. i'll post my responses here for all to see but feel free to call with questions if you like at 215-713-8913

Caller this evening wanted to know " can i drive it home, about 30 miles"...........i imagine you could drive it home, it would just be wise to tune it up, and change the oil and service the carbs first, i recommend towing it or trailering i, but if your not to far off from her, then feel free to drive it,,,the car did sit for some time, so it is always a good idea to go over everything first.
