Here is your chance to own an incredible piece of history!
This Corvette has obviously been well pampered, yet driven sparingly since new! Unfortunately, I do not have documents to certify the miles, but the condition tells the whole story. I believe this car to be 100% original other than: tires, belts, hoses, battery, alternator, front windshield & the A/C has been retrofitted to R134a.
Between myself, a good friend who is a Corvette guru, a Chevrolet dealer, and my insurance appraiser who was a body shop manager at a Chevrolet dealer in the 70's / 80's, we believe this car is wearing ALL of its original paint, and it shows INCREDIBLE! (Well, as incredible as GM paint was in 1981!)
In addition, it is still equipped with the factory smog pump, catalytic converter AND exhaust!
This Corvette came nearly fully equipped, my research leads me to believe the only things missing, were power mirrors & factory CB radio.
ALL options work, including factory cassette, FACTORY power antenna, power windows, power locks, 6 way power drivers seat, cruise control, rear defog, rear perimeter light (as seen in the pic with the factory spare that has never been used) hell, even the Fasten Belt light and buzzer works!
Factory polished aluminum wheels have zero curb rash, and shine beautifully.
2 sets of original GM keys show next to no wear, this car is truly a time capsule that will win shows, and I believe will score highly for NCRS categories
Now for the bad:
Bolster on drivers seat has 2 tears, can be seen in pic. The rest of the leather is so incredibly nice, I hate to take away the originality.
Tach works 80% of the time
At one point, I am assuming there was a front end protector on, at the peak of the nose (about 2 inches) the paint is wore off
Yeah, thats about it, this car is Barrett Jackson quality with out a doubt
This is my car, clean clear title is in my hands. I love this car, but I have too many cars, and this car deserves more attention than I can give it.
