Beautiful 1973 Short bed Fleet side (first year for square body design) pickup, that spent its entire life in the California desert.This was a one owner truck until I purchased it from the widow and grandson. The truck was purchased by me because it was all original, even came with the original build sheet on the wheel well, and still does. This had everything it came with in 1973, except the 350 engine, which i guess was out and being rebuilt, when the gentlemen passed. They had no idea where the engine was so I made plans to modernize the power plant with a LS 5.3L Vortec from a late model Chevrolet Silverado. I wanted modern drive ability and fuel economy and yet retain all the originality of the truck itself, and it realllllly turned out incredible, I wasn't planning a show truck, but this will drive to and turn all the heads at your local shows.
The truck has undergone a complete frame off restoration. It was a true frame off restoration, Everything was stripped and rebuilt and refinished. The body was almost flawless and even retains the original rust free rocker panels and inner wheel wells, usually the first thing to go on these trucks. It was so nice, that the original steel brake lines where so nice and rust free, that they needed a good washing with soap and water and eventually re installed. Here is a partial list of the restoration.
•Had original burnt orange paint and primer stripped, a good base of epoxy laid down and refinished complete truck, including interior, exterior, door jambs, underside of box and cab, and the firewall in burnt orange base coat, clear coat.
•Inspect and repair all of the drive train including dana 44 front 3:73 and 12 bolt rear axle 3:73 posi, transmission SM465, transfer case NP205, and drive shafts.

This is only partial list, but i think you get the picture. The truck runs and drives like new, the a/c blows ice cold, drives like a 2014, but has the classic look.
