1960 Chevrolet Impala - BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL SURVIVOR DAILY DRIVER SHOW CAR
1960 Chevrolet Impala
I'm sure you're wondering how I can describe this incredible beauty as an original survivor/daily driver/show car? I agree, it's very unusual to find a 57 year old car that is original and a daily driver and show-quality. This second family owned Impala sedan is just that. The pedigree includes being sold at the famous Yenko Chevrolet in Canonsburg, PA by the #1 salesman and future GM for Yenko dealerships. In 1975, that same Legion of Leaders salesman bought it from the estate of the original owner. It has been stored in climate-controlled garages since new. The 29,000 original miles have been kind to her. Virtually untouched other than maintenance items such as a fuel filter, battery, belts, and hoses, she starts, runs, and drives like new.The engine compartment has never been painted or modified. The exterior looks way to good to be original but this car has never been stripped, re-sprayed, or touched up. Black lacquer still shines like it just came off the production line. The very popular and collectibleflat roof design option makes this girl best in class, though that's not fair considering there aren't any others left. The glass all around is original and clear with absolutely no fading, cloudy, cracking, or delamination. All chrome is original and without imperfection. The trunk contains the original cloth car cover that Yenko included in the sale. The wheels are dressed by very unique Yenko dealer-optioned and highly sought after glass center hub caps. The interior pictures are not touched up or modified. The upholstery and vinyl colors jump out and have no wear, fading, or repairs. The original carpet is perfect. All gages, windows, and accessorieswork as intended. The steering wheel has no wear, cracks, or damage of any kind. The only area needing attention is the dash pad that is showing signs of heat shrinkage. The family has not wishedto replace it for fear of taking away the originality of the car. However, if the new owner is inclined to replaceit, the original foam-style pad is available in the aftermarket. Mechanically, thecar needs nothing. It starts on a dime, runs quiet and smooth on the original exhaust, and cruises like only a 60 Impala can.If you know your classic sedans, you won't be disappointed.Priced for immediate sale with low reserve and located in Henderson, NV.
