1951 Chevrolet 3100

Sunnyside Chevrolet of Elyria, Ohio in conjunction with Greg's Sports, Classic, & Muscle is proud to offer for sale this 1951 Chevrolet model 3100 pick-up truck. This truck is the very desirable 5 window model.

Most all of the mechanical components of this truck has been updated and upgraded including a 454 ci engine, turbo 400 transmission, new tilt steering column, modern front end with disc brakes, aluminum radiator, power steering, full dual exhaust, new gas tank moved from inside the cab to under the bed, LED head and tail lights, posi-traction rear end, all new tinted glass. The 454 is topped with an Edlebrock Carb and a Weiand intake. The gauges in the interior are all new, a brand-new set of wide whites were just installed at our shop and this 3100 is even sporting a trailer hitch with electrical hookups.

We recently purchased this truck out of long term local ownership and the quality of this vehicle is well known in the local collector market. The gentleman who owned, cared for and helped build this vehicle used it to tow his 1942 Chevrolet Racecar (also available on our website) to the area ovals for some good old fashion racing. With the big motor, and quality components this 3100 is a dream to drive either down the freeway at 75 miles per hour or even on a long twisting two lane road- It drives just that nice. Runs cool, tracks straight and plenty of scoot.

Check out the photos of the interior- great quality seat and door coverings and carpet done by local trimmers who obviously had a commitment to quality. The truck has a power driver's seat and with the tilt wheel combination just settle in for a wonderful driving experience. Heater works great as do the air vents.

The body of this truck has NO RUST. She's ALL STEEL. ALL GM STEEL. Just the way you want it- just the way Chevy built it. It is extremely solid and clean as is the frame and underside. No worries and no excuses here it's all done correctly. When you look at the overall paint on this vehicle it is mostly dulled down with a few areas (small) with a bit of primer showing through. It's a GREAT LOOK. I'm not going to talk about patina here because that term is so overused. With a bit of paint work and a wet sand it can most likely be new and shiny red or do just what its loving owners have done for the last number of years- drive it and be proud. The bed of the truck has a very nice wood floor and presents itself well.

Rust bucket 3100 5 windows are 15K, decent 6 cylinder sticks are 20K plus. This is the right one, with the right equipment and is priced well below what it would cost to build. Buy it done and DRIVE IT AND ENJOY IT. I guarantee it will make you smile!
