1986 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 2500 Silverado

Up for auction is my absolutely beautiful 1986 K20 Silverado. An original Pacific Northwest truck, has no cancer rust whatsoever; cab corners, rockers and floor panels etc all solid. This truck was owned by a family friend who used to mostly haul his camper around with his wife traveling the pacific coast each year. Other than that the truck was mostly under cover and out of the elements year round. I was told that the truck odometer had only turned over once, so the truck has 109,000 original miles! And judging by the condition overall, I have no doubt that this is accurate. Truck was also meticulously maintained over the years with usual fluid maintenance, bearings replaced as needed, seals etc.

Under the hood is a mostly stock 5.7 GM Goodwrench Performance replacement engine 10067353 done about 20k miles ago. An engine capable of 249 hp and 304ft.-lbs of torque, it is slightly tamed by factory exhaust manifolds and 4-barrel carburetor. Leave it the way it is, reliable and quiet, or add headers, high flow carb, dual exhaust, and it could be quite a monster. All hoses, water pump, thermostat etc. were replaced at the time of motor swap. Dual batteries top it all off, and you have one of the most reliable packages made under the hood. Power is transferred to the tires via the venerable TH400 transmisssion mated to NP208 transfer case, semi-floating 14 bolt rear differential with the G80 limited slip option and 10 bolt GM front differential with new KYB steering stabilizer. On top of that all fluids were recently replaced from front to rear, so this drivetrain is good to go another 30k without any maintenance!

Body is in incredible shape, factory paint still shines well. Has some rock chips on lower portion of body, but overall for a truck that is over 30 years old, you would be hard pressed to find much better. Bed is in exceptional condition as you can see in the pictures. Handsome factory white steel rims with Chevrolet "Dog Dish" hubcaps and NEW Toyo tires will get you wherever you need to go and in style. With new KYB Gas-adjust shocks at all fourcorners, not only does the truck look good going down the road, it handles better than new. Steering is tight with no slop and tracks down the freeway at 75mph with ease. Bumpers, all trim, grill, tailgate, lenses, etc. are all in great shape and show nicely! Doors shut well, no sag in doors and they seal well. All glass is in good shape, no scratching or discoloration to speak of, rear window slides as it should.

Interior is in fantastic shape and super clean! With the Silverado package the trim level is much nicer than the standard pickups. You get power windows/ locks, cruise control, intermittent wipers, among other things. Door pull straps are solid, tilt steering column is tight and slop free, dual fuel tanks switch back and forth, it is all there! All gauges work as they should. Factory A/C conversion done to R-134A and works good. Only ding against the interior is a crack in the dash which is very common for these years, and a couple very small tears in the bench seat behind the drivers back. Even with those minor imperfections, you will be nothing short of proud to show off the inside because honestly it is only original once!
