1955 CHEVROLET 4 DOOR, 99,9% RUST FREE ARIZONA ORIGINAL!
1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Base
This original and never messed with 1955 Chevrolet was sold new in Utah but according to the previous owner it spent almost all its life in dry and rust free Arizona.
The odometer shows 85,503 miles. I have no way of knowing if that is correct or not but it seems reasonable.
The paint is still the original paint from 1955, what's left of it!
The Arizona sun has created a beautiful patina on the car.
As you can see the body is absolutely super nice, the only rust at all I can find is just in front of the rear bumper, nothing else (except for surface rust of course).
There's a little surface rust in the trunk floor, the spare tire well is beautiful and rust free.
The car has been off the road for a number of years. The previous owner pulled the original V8 engine and rebuilt an old 283 V8 and installed it.
He also rebuilt the brakes, had the interior redone and installed a new exhaust system but then he got sick and could not do anything with the car.
The engine was started up after the rebuild but it has no miles on it.
It looks like the radiator was recored also.
After I bought the car I cleaned it, installed new tires, a new battery, poured fresh gas in the tank and the Chevy starts and runs great!
So with exception of the engine swap and the redone interior this is an original, almost rust free car that as far as I am concerned does not need anything!
The Chevrolet is at our restoration shop in down town Phoenix, Arizona.
Inspection is welcome and encouraged!!!
