1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 5.7L 6-speed Manual Black on Black T-tops Autometer
1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Coupe 2-Door
Up for sale is a 1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. We purchased this vehicle as a project from the prior owner. He had started restoring it, but then lost interest. I finished the job and now we have a great driver-quality Camaro back on the road. The body and paint was done by the previous owner. Overall the body is straight with minor wear/tear. The paint is driver quality as well. I would rate the body and paint a strong 7 or 8. I could not find any major rust when I looked over the car. The normal trouble area for these cars like the rear body panel and rockers are solid in this car. Car has the original N90 code wheels. The odometer is new with the new gauges so it only reads around25 miles. This will continue to increase asthe car gets driven occasionally. The cluster that came with the car said 73k miles. I have no idea the actual mileage. The car has a center bolt 350 engine from the mid 90's in it. Motor runs and rev's strong. No smoke or engine leaks found. Has a 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetor.
Originally this Camaro was an automatic, but the previous owner swapped the transmission with a T56 6-speed manual out of an early 2000's Camaro. All of the fab work was nicely done. I remounted the clutch master reservoir for a cleaner look. The car drives really nice with this transmission and is shifts very smoothly into all gears.
The pictures really speak for themselves but the following is a list of things I did to the car once I got it:

6) New Chrome lug nuts
7) New Windshield

13) New Cerwin Vega 4x10 dash speaker and 6x9 rear speakers
14) NOTE: The dash in this car is EXCELLENT. It is not a cover, it is the actual dash panel
Engine Compartment:
1) New Battery
2) New Radiator and cap
3) New Coolant reservoir
4) Recent Oil/Filter/Fuel filter change -- Tune up)
5) New Air cleaner/Filter

1) New Monroe shocks on all 4 corners
2) New hood insulation pad
3) New trunk liner
4) All new brakes (Front: New calipers, rotors, pads, lines) (Rear: New Drums, shoes, wheel cylinders)
The only things I know to be wrong with the car are: 1) Horn doesn't work, 2) A/C and heat will not blow. The panel will not do anything. When we got the car there was no belt on the A/C compressor but it will turn. All parts appear to be there, but I am not sure why it will not function. Please ask any questions you have about the car. I've described it to the best of my knowledge. I'm happy to show it to anyone. We have a clear Georgia title in our name.
