Description:

1963 Chevrolet Corvette

A true 1963 split window Corvette that was customized by none other than Jerry Pennington in the mid sixties. He is famous for winning the Riddler Award twice from the Detroit Autorama; in 1972 for the custom corvette named the Scorpion and then again with a wild custom named the Devilfish. He was named Builder of the decade from 1970 to 1980.This car was his first custom show car called the Orange Ray. Back then it was a common practice to cut out the split window so the car would look like all the newer vettes. The louvers by the side windows were filled in and 1967 front fender louvers were installed. A 67 big block stinger hood and side exhaust systems was installed with new parts from gm back in 67. Even the wheels are dated 1964 Mickey Thompson Radir wheels with excellent chrome rims and aluminum centers. Vette was originally black with red interior. Whole car is ready to drive and enjoy as is. All the fuel and brake systems have been rebuilt along with water pump, carb, etc. Small block has a cam and the original 4 speed trans and 4.11 posi rear work great. Car hauls ass, handles great, and looks awesome while doing it.
