Description:

This is a very rare piece of American history! Only 4761 Monza turbo’s were produced in 1964. This car has over 24K in recent restoration and upgrades. It is sporting a recently rebuilt motor with a newly rebuild oem turbocharger. The classic design of this car really signifies an important era in American automotive history. These Corvairs are becoming harder to find in restored condition.

Interior:

The black interior is all-original with minimal wear. All gauges operate, as they should, the radio turns on but does not receive an AM signal. The dash has little to no wear; all of the gauges look and work excellent. The door panels show well with minimal wear, the windows all go up and down with no binding. The Front bonnet shows very well and there is no rust. The overall restoration of this Corvair is remarkable.

Exterior:

The paint shows very well, 6 out of 10 easily. The body does not have any rust, and we can not see any prior damage or repairs. The underside is very nice with no holes or rot. All of the Chrome and bright work looks great, and the glass is in excellent condition. There is one minor chip on the passenger side which is listed in our gallery.

Drivetrain:

This beautifully restored Spyder features a recently rebuilt (2012) date code correct (YR) 164ci flat six-cylinder turbo mated to a rebuilt 4 speed manual transmission. The rebuilt engine features Otto Valve covers and oil pan, Flowmaster exhaust, new brakes, shocks, coils and more. The original turbocharger was replaced with an OE re-built unit. The front sway bars have been upgraded to keep this little cruiser from “Ralph Nadering.” During the restoration the gas tank, clutch, and throw out bearing were replaced.
