!971 Z28 Camaro

Price: - Item location: Springfield, Illinois, United States
Description:

1971 Chevrolet Camaro

I have owned this car for 17 years. It has the original born with engine, transmission, and rear end. The wheels are original to car as well as original spare tire. Original fenders, hoo, and trunk lid. I had GM rear quarters and wheel house extensions installed during restoration. I purchased GM parts for this car when available including NOSGM door weatherstrip, emblems, window trim, etc. I researched correctness and you can see in the pictures many of the details that went into this restorationI restored it in 2000 and showed it for several years. Here are some of the bigger car show awards it has received: Route 66 Mother Road Festival Best in Show 2002 - Super Chevy Show class winner 2002 and 2003 - Chevy Vettefest Gold Spinner award in March and November 2003 - Fred Gibb Memorial Car Show Best of class 2004 and 2005 - Illinois Secretary of State Antique Vehicle Show Class winner 5 times - Camaro Nationals 2008 Legends Certified. This car was featured in Chevy Rumble Magazine October 2005 with a 5 page spread.

I don't think you will find a more correct 71 Z28 on ebay. This car still shows well considering it was restored 17 years ago. It still rests on the original shocks and body bushings. All major parts are correct including date codes except the Holley carb which is a 4801. The correct 4800 carb comes with car but needs to be restored. This was the only major part I couldn't find when restoring the car. I finally found one a few years ago but never changed it. To get a car this correct today, I believe you could spend years finding all the correct parts and probably spend an enormous amount of money just in parts alone. If you are seriously interested in this Z28 and have any questions, please feel free to call. 217/494-7430 Dennis
