Description:

1966 Chevrolet Impala SS

1966 Chevy Impala SS

I purchased this car in 2011 from the original owner, in its’ original condition which he had stored in a barn since parking it in 1984. This is an SS car with original paint and includes all of the original parts. This car was born with a 275 HP 327 engine, 2 speed power glide and 12 bolt posi with 3:23gears. The original 327 runs but smokes and burns oil and therefore was replaced but is still included with the car. I no longer have the original transmission.

We replaced the engine and transmission with a new 385 HP Fast Burn, vortex design crate motor w/new Holley 650 double pumper, GM HP distributor, Holley fuel pump, aluminum water pump, mini starter and coated headers. The transmission is a rebuilt Turbo 350 with shift kit and 2800 stahl convertor.

The following are all new parts:

  • U joints and rear end fluid with posi additive
  • 2½ inch exhaust with X-pipe and flow master mufflers
  • Fuel system including tank, sending unit and lines
  • Brakes including master cylinder, all lines steel and rubber, drums, wheel cylinders, spring kits and shoes
  • Shocks all around, new springs on back
  • Rally wheels 15x8& 15x7 with caps and rings.
  • BF Goodrich Tires 275/60 & 215/70

Additional parts included in this sale:

  • Original 327 Engine(See photo)
  • original SS hub caps and steel wheels
  • Driver side quarter panel(See photo – this comes with the car)

The body remains in its’ original condition with the exception of the engine bay being blasted and painted black prior to installing the new engine. Interior is mostly original, front seats have new foam and vinyl, carpet and headliner are gone. Floors are good except for two places on either side at the seat belt retractors needs repair. (See photos) Trunk needs repair in two small places. Windshield has small crack.

Everything works on this car, all lights, signals, horn, fan, wipers and squirters. This car runs and drives great and has a clear Missouri title.

Vehicle must be picked up and all transactions must be completed within 30 days of auction end. Buyer pays for and is responsible for any and all shipping costs and arrangements. With all the additional parts, please keep this in mind when you are making arrangements to pick up.

A deposit payment made via PayPal of $500.00 is required within 24 hours of auction close with remaining balance due, preferably cash in person or wire transfer within 14 days of auction close. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time if the car sells before the end of the auction.
