1986 Corvette Targa Coupe

I purchased this car at atowing company auction. The car was abandon around mid summer 2016 and was towed in October 2016. It had no key and no information about its owner or its past. I put in a new ignition and found that it runs...needs a tune up...but it runs and the gears work. I believe it was abandon because it has a broken front lower control arm. Also when we were able to start the car we found the odometer said 158,000.

I ran a Carfax and there are no reported accidents and it appears to have spent its life in Georgia and South Carolina.

As I said, it runs, goes in forward and reverse, aftermarket radio works, electric windows work, headlights work and go up and down. The dash lights up but not sure how well it works...the ac did blow but not much and it was a cold day.

While the car is pretty sad the body is in very good shape...no visible cracks or dents. In a few places the paint nickel size bubbles and several slight paint scrapes. The dash is no good and the interior needs lots of tender loving care.

I have an OEM dash and have ordered the control arm...so we will be able to drive it soon and determine if there is any material issues. If I don't sell this right away I will keep it an completely rebuild it over a couple years. I have done several project cars.
