1956 Chevrolet Corvette Base Convertible 2-Door

1956 Corvette Project. This car is a 1956 body with a 1958 frame. Car does not have its original Vin tag and has a state issued ID number. It came in originally rolling with a lot of its original parts but still missing others. Upon disassembly it was noticed that the car had been put on a different frame due to prior damage. Front end had been replaced with a one piece fiberglass reproduction shell with no inner structure. Body and panels were stripped down to original fiberglass. Front end was removed due to bad installation previous. Repair of body and structure has been started and just needs the proper repair panels put on. Frame was chemically stripped and E coated. Suspension and other parts have been blasted and put in etch primer to prevent rust. Casting numbers are as follows, Motor 3720991, Cylinder Heads 3837064, Intake 3837109, Trans case 3743868, Trans side cover 3731911, Tail shaft 3707195. Car is in pieces at this time. This is a great project for a do it yourself person with mechanical ability. This is also a great car if your looking to find a lot of hard to find and expensive parts that are no longer available.
