1965 Chevrolet Chevelle 300 Delux

All original 1965 chevelle 300 delux, 283 engine with 2 barrell and power glide transmission.It runs but has developed a top end noise which I have not had time to go in depth to find the problem.Has ran very well what times I have driven, parked it last month and when first started after setting for a month the noise began.I have found another 65 engine that is in excellent shape but will not be able to install.

Has original drum brakes that are in process of being rebuilt to include new rubber hoses from spindle to frame and rear hose above the rear end housing and new wheel bearings and seals. Haverebuilt front wheel cylinders withnew wheel cylinders for the rear wheels.New brake shoes all around. Very little body rust on the car, mainly around front and rear glass, not rusted through, a thorough cleaning and POR should solve those issues. The right side of trunk floor pan where the spare tire would have layed has rusted through.Comes with NEW TRUNK PANS and NEW FLOOR pans.Floor pan on drivers side has been repaired years ago, right side is solid, both rears are thin with pin holes.Have the two complete sides floor pans that run from cowl to under back seat. Needs no body panels, doors open and close with a slight touch, sound very good when closing. Has rust on the panel below the tail lights which is repairable, still has the rubber stapled to the body.some minor rust on the quarter panels in front of the wheels which is also repairable. It has had a section of the frame repaired right under the left side cowl. It is solid but needs to be dressed up or redone to make it look better. Have a frame section that goes with the car.

Appears the car has been painted once since 65. As you can see the car needs work. Here is a list of what comes with the car.

New interior- vinyl seat covers, new seat foam for front seat, door panels front and rear, carpet, headliner, window felts, windlace trim. Will need new inside door handles and window cranks and rear package tray. New vent window handles, new glass channel run.

67 Chevy pickup tilt steering column with column shift and no key. Have new steering column mount to firewall bracket. New 3 spoke cushion grip steering wheel with adapter and horn button.

Also have an L79 polished aluminum intake (461) and a 1965 model AFB 4 barrel with rebuild kit that will go with the car.

Have new windshield and back glass seals. All window trim is with the car and is in excellent condition. I'm sure I have more small items that I have failed to mention. I have the interior paint to redo tops of doors, dash windshield post etc.

The car is located in Johnson City Tennessee. I have been collecting parts for a while and was hoping to start work on it this month but health reasons have dictated otherwise.

This is something you can work on and drive, have driven around locally and would have driven more but the brakes needed repairing first. Mag hub caps are really decent to be original, not pitted.
