1964 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe

If we look back to the early 60’s we think the Ford Mustang was responsible for the personal sports car. That’s not actually true. Chevrolet really was first and set the benchmark for igniting creativity for other manufactures. The Chevy Corvair was basically the same size as the Mustang, yeah maybe flawed in its rear engine design but same concept. The Impala, was the Mustang just a foot bigger. It had more power, sleeker design and more interior room. The Impala was the most successful automobile Chevrolet every launched up to 1964 and even though the most expensive offered, it did everything the customer wanted and more. This Impala Sport Coupe offered here today has some minor tweaks to really enhance the look and sound. Please read on and find out more about this Chevy Impala. Who knows, maybe you’ll see the USA in THIS Chevrolet. Let us know of any question you may have.

Exterior:

As you can see from the pictures this vehicle presents VERY well and local show or cruise night quality. Its finished in a green briar mist with a shot metallic. We believe it’s a Cadillac Color. The body is straight and the panels fit well. All the brightwork and chrome are brilliant. The glass is excellent and the chrome wheels are the right size and design to enhance the appearance of the Impala Sport Coupe. The floors and trunk pan are solid and the frame is also solid. Although 64 Impala is known for being air bagged or fitted with hydraulics, this 64 has nothing of the sort. It’s been lowered ever so slightly to really improve the stance. Please review all the pictures and let us know of any questions.

Interior:

The interior is as original as it came from the factory. All basic options work well. The carpet and headliner are in excellent condition. The dash was painted the same color as the car and the original manual sits in the glove box. The seats are in great original condition showing hardly any wear. The dash and door panels have no cracks. The carpet is original and could use a replacement however it has no holes and is very functional. A very plain, yet functional interior that is great for family cruise nights. Please look at the pictures and let us know of any questions.

Drive-Train:

This car comes equipped with a 283 4bbl. It starts and runs excellent and the headers with custom exhaust really makes it sound good. The car does come with power steering and manual drum brakes. The transmission has been upgraded to the TH350 3 speed and also runs and shifts great. All tires, brakes, belts and hoses are road worthy and you can enjoy this Impala immediately. Please let us know of any questions you may have.

In summation – if you’re looking for a vehicle you can be proud of that won’t break the bank, this Impala has got to be for you. It supplies power and looks and yes, don’t worry, you can tinker with the interior on weekends and stay out of your wife’s hair. Give us a call and we look forward to having you come out and seeing us.
